Being a Democrat means never being off your medication. It's not just a disease, it's an adventure.

I'm still waiting for Al Gore to condemn Michael Moore for saying the people we fight in Iraq (A) aren't "terrorists", (B) aren't "the enemy", (C) "will win". He also has essentially said that he wants to see the US get its butt kicked.

This sounds a whole lot like a known propagandist providing aid and comfort to the enemy during wartime (treason).

A lot of crickets chirping but no leftists denouncing Michael Moore's new found "friends".

Cutting through the confusion: Few actual tortures took place, apparently, and people who poo-poo the non-torture tortures of wartime prisoners are hard-line about fighting terror. People who make a big deal about all this porno [which most of it is] are softies. So the question is: who does America want to fight terrorists? Hardliners? Or softies? The answer, as week-after-week passes, is obvious. If Bush doesn't cave, this is going to be a mere blip on the radar screen by election day, just another example of who is taking this war seriously, and who is trying to turn us into a useless, pathetic nannystate.

It won't happen. It was already difficult enough to prosecute someone for treason for speaking out (several propagandists like Axis Sally and Lord Haw Haw were convicted after WWII).

As with all things from the Clinton Legacy, the bar of civil discourse has been lowered (to somewhere in the gutter).

A host on Air America (Randi Rhodes?) made a death threat against the President ("someone should take him out and shoot him") and it doesn't even merit a blip from the national media (although the launching for the network sure did).

We WILL have a civil war in this country again, I just don't see a Republican president reigning in the anarchist-socialist element in this country (despite their seditious rhetoric). There would be too many claims of America becoming a "police state" and "denying people free speech".

You cannot threaten the life of the president, you cannot advocate the overthrow of our Constitutional form of government (sedition), you cannot promote the war effort of the enemy side (this is treason; if that is how you feel, LEAVE), just as you cannot yell "Fire" in a crowded movie theater in the absence of any emergency.

I would agree if times were different. Now, there is such a concerted effort to besmirch the Pres. and his admin. on so many fronts yet he doesn't defend himself. It's getting embarrassing and I am frustrated about it. I don't agree with Bush on most of his domestic policy but I am totally behind him on his foreign policy. I just want the "compassionate conservative" to at least look like he's fighting back.

Sure you can. Afterall, isn't that Bill Clintoons legacy?

We are no longer a nation of laws. We are a nation of scofflaws.

The undermining of our constitutional form of government is complete. (just look at the way the Congress has allowed the courts to make law)

And yes, the 2nd revolution is coming.

Don`t forget what Tubby also called them...

"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win."

My God, I wish I had some knowledge or connections to film making, because I would make a flick that would absolutely destroy the `Rats come November, just absolutely destroy that entire party. Just lay it all out for the public what these `Rats have done and said since 911. (I actually have about a list about 20 pages long) Sen Patty Murray - "Osama is a good man" and that other `Rat Senator who also compared Al-Qaida to our own Revolutionary war minutemen like Tubby. I forget her name (probably because the press paid about 2 seconds attention to it), but I believe she even called them "Freedom Fighters", or Madonna the day after 911 getting on a stage in LA and asking the audience to let bygones be bygones. Real nice. Your family member dies falling out of the WTC probably after being burned horribly and these mutts are praising and supporting the animals who did it.

Here are my thoughts on the subject.

This is the same bunch of people who are trying to drive World Net Daily into bankruptcy with a series of frivilous lawsuits because the internet publication blew the whistle on them and caused them to lose the 2000 election.

Gore and his croines are showing themselves to be very poor sports about having their unethical and illegal activities exposed.

It was his and Clinton's bunch that sat by and allowed terrorists to build up weapons in preparation for attacks. It was their policies which led to September 11th 2001. They know this for a fact. Rush is calling them on it and this is the best they can do is Call for Rush and his 20 million listeners like myself to be comdenned.

You DON'T reunite a nation by condemming those who blow the whistle on you. There's no way people are going to sing kumbya and hold hands or arm-in-arm with those who want christians and conservatives condemmed.

These people do not have the best interests of America in their hearts. They are only interested in the reacquisition of power and hold very malicious and harmful intentions towards christians and conservatives. These people give hope to all of the terrorist cells that are watching via sattlite and cheering their every words, including the words spoken by Al Gore yesterday at this rally.

Clearly without a doubt the Democratic party is a criminal enterpirse and I hope people will remember this come November.
Regards.

That's my problem. How can you appear strong and resolute to terrorists when you won't lift a finger to defend yourself at home? We are sending the message to the terrorists that we are indeed "a paper tiger". I don't know who is advising Bush to do this (Karl Rove?), but whoever it is needs to go.

Hey, anybody out there think the Bush administration will finally take the gloves off and fight these pieces of crap?

Why do you think most people are not a bright as you?

You create the impression that a brilliant person like you can see through Gore... but the ordinary dumb idiots not born with your brilliance have to watch a fight between Bush and Gore to see the truth.

What a load of condescending garbage.

When one side of a political fight descends into name calling and blame, and the other side concentrates of fixing the problems, the fixer always wins they election.. Even when the fixer can't fix the problems.

The classic case was in 1936. After 4 years of Roosevelt's New Deal the great depression was as bad or worse than it was in 1932. It is true that the Works Progress Administration had put 8 million people back to work. But 13 million more had lost their jobs during the first four years of the Roosevelt administration as well. Five million more people were out of work in 1936 than in 1932.

Republicans attacked Roosevelt around the clock for his failed policies. Roosevelt did not attack back. He proposed his left wing fixes.... even though we now know his fixes made things worse

On election day in 1936 the voters were faced with a choice. On one hand they had a Repubican candidate and party that only offered severe criticism of Roosevelt. Republicans were into hating FDR. They offered no real fixes. All Roosevelt talked about was how he was trying to fix things and how he needed people in office to help .. not hinder. The voters gave Roosevelt a landslide and total control of the house and senate.

On election day the choice was failed fixes or no fixes. The voters chose failed fixes. At least Roosevelt was talking fixes. They rejected the Republican platform that only proposed blame.

An election is very much like a horse race. It is worth nothing to be 7 lengths ahead in the back stretch only to be behind the horse that crosses the finish line first.

The object in horse races and campaigns is the same... stay close and save plenty for the home stretch.

You argue for a strategy that cost Bill Simon the governorship of California. Gray Davis was very very unpopular. Davis attacked Simon time after time. Instead of being the fixer and let Davis become the evil attacker, Simom attacked back even harder. The end result was a Davis win. Lyn Nofziger and others tried to give Simon a clue. He rejected them to follow your type of advise. Simon was certain that counter attacks was the way to go. Simple Simon did not have a clue.

Bush and Rove understand how to win elections far more than any of their critics.

The media and the Democrats have tried their best to destroy George Bush with hateful attacks. They try their best to provoke him into angry responses. They know if they can provoke counter attacks they will have a prescription that could result in his defeat. It drives them nuts that he never takes their bait.

But the world is full of people who would take the bait. They are a quite similar to a breed of fish called Suckers. They just can't help but choose the failed course. Thank goodness Dubya understands how to win... The lets trash and bash too crowd only knows how to lose.

Former Republican governor of California Pete Wilson once said after tiring of raving lunatics in the Democrat-controlled legislature, "The Democrats can jump up and kiss my ass."

I remember it from the local news. He was tired of stupid liberal tricks. Limbaugh and Republicans would do well to confront these lunatics with the same courage and contempt.

I mentioned this on another thread, but you know... we're moving in the direction of Iraq. Their "groups" such as sheite and kurds are so divided, so filled with hate for each other that their country cannot function. They can't even set up a constitutional government without trying to keep certain groups completely out of it.

We are headed that way as the democrats become focused solely on HATE. I mean they are burning every bridge behind them in this downward spiral.

Thanks for the insults.

By the way, citing 70 year old history regarding one election has nothing to do with the way people think today. I know it would be the "honorable" way to play this game but if you look at the polls here in America you will see that Kerry is actully gaining. I also know it's early but the American people are easily swayed by the media. And, unless GWB starts fighting back, even a supporter like me, starts to think he has no backbone.

While I think Common Tator has a point, I think GWB is already "there" in terms of being the "fixer". He already has that high ground. He should be more on the offensive now, and all the way up to Nov 2. It's Kerry that has nothing but attacks. Unfortunately, since he has the media on his side, the attacks are working. It might be a good idea to hold off for now, but GW should definitely do some attack ads before the election, and also, using his office, do the same in a more subtle way with the media. That, combined with the fact that he's the only one with ideas at this point, will win him the election.

Again though, in today's era of sound bites, he can't simply be the "fixer". He must also be somewhat agressive.

Hey, anybody out there think the Bush administration will finally take the gloves off and fight these pieces of crap?

In due time.

Never mind that I'm thankful that AlSoreloser is not our president, but I am glad that I am not part of the administration. It has nothing to do with any disagreement with the President, or with his policies or agenda. I am completely in favor of the President, and would take a bullet for him if I could.

The reason I'm glad not to be part of the administration is that I would be so incensed at all of the falsehoods that are daily (and loudly) perpetrated by the left, that I would be calling for charges of treason and sedition, and calling for a scene out of "Hang 'Em High" with Clint Eastwood, a mass hangin' in the town square. Or, to be more humane, a mass serving of the triple cocktail. After all, "Flipper" Kerry, wouldn't that "Let America Be America Again"? People used to get the lethal Bill Blass tie for poaching cattle, for cryin' out loud.

The best way to get rid of smelly trash is not to put an air freshener in the trashcan, or to spray Glade in there. The best way to get rid of smelly trash is to THROW OUT THE TRASH. Or, in our case, VOTE out the trash.

When I have smelly trash at home, I don't let it consume me. I do my work, take care of my priorities, wrap up the trash, throw out the trash, and go on with my life, doing the right thing.

So the best thing that can happen is for the Administration to keep working, to keep America as safe as possible. Take care of Iraq. Take care of the economy. Combat the lies with the truth. Get reelected. And then...TAKE OUT THE TRASH.

In the meantime, to make ourselves feel better...call out the VIKING KITTIES!!!

You create the impression that a brilliant person like you can see through Gore... but the ordinary dumb idiots not born with your brilliance have to watch a fight between Bush and Gore to see the truth.

What a load of condescending garbage.

You don't think moderate, ordinary Americans are swayed by what they see and hear on TV??? Are you joking? Mass media - network television in particular - is a billion dollar industry simply because people believe, and will buy, what they see on TV. In this country, there are so many, particularly the elderly, that still believe that whatever is shown on network news is the gospel truth. They are of the old school in believing that "Walter Cronkite would never lie!" Dan Rather et al have stepped into those shoes, and although a vast number see through the bias, sadly, many do not.

After the relentless pounding of the Bush administration by the media, Al Gore steps in and turns it up a notch. You don't think those who have only gotten one side of the news will believe what he is saying? The fact is that older Americans are less likely to have internet access - many don't even have cable. Unfortunately many good, decent people may not be politically savy and well read. When the media distorts and takes out of context most everything the Bush administration puts forth, many people are only getting part of the picture. And they believe what little they see. It doesn't make them "dumb idiots" as you say. All they know is what they've been told. And they vote.

I don't advocate having President Bush lower himself to the depths of the filthy mud slingers. I DO believe however, sometimes silence isn't golden.

The more we hear from Alberta Gore, the more Gore sounds like Michelle Moore, only Gore is more the Boor than Moore.
