Dead Briton dragged through streets after Saudi attack: reports
Sat May 29, 7:41 PM ET
LONDON (AFP) - Britain's newspapers said that the body of a British national feared killed in attacks by alleged Al-Qaeda-linked gunmen in eastern Saudi Arabia was dragged for over a mile (1.6 kilometres) behind a car.
According to the Mail on Sunday and The Observer, a British oil company executive was definitely among the victims of the attack at a compound in the Saudi oil city of Al-Khobar on Saturday.
Security forces found his body a mile away from the residential area where he was killed in front of his work colleagues, the newspaper said.
The assailants, suspected Islamic militants, led attacks against two oil facilities in Al-Khobar, then took an unknown number of civilians hostage at a nearby housing complex.
At least 11 people were reported killed so far in the violence, but numbers were expected to rise as Saudi security forces besieged the assailants, who were holed up in a building with the hostages.
One American was confirmed dead among at least four Westerners reported killed.
Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz said about 10 Saudis and foreigners were killed. He put at "four or five" the number of attackers "who have taken refuge in the compound where they are besieged."
The suspected Islamist extremists later released eight of their captives, who reported that more than 50 people were still being held.
Shortly afterwards gunfire could be heard from the hostage drama scene.
Per some earlier reports today, the Brit may have been alive when they started dragging him.
At least they didn't make him wear ladies' undies on his head.
Second time this month for the dragging torture death. These animals deserve death, all of them.
Those poor terrorists. Hopefully they didn't pull a muscle dragging this british subject. That's what he get's when he helps those fascist Americans by pumping Saudi Oil <//Sarcasm off>
The religion of peace. I just can't figure out why they need guns, knives and bombs if they are so peaceful.
Even if not feasible, one can dream.
Think Alwhore will go on a "How Dare They?!!" rant, over this news?
What was the other one?
Nope, his a$$ feels everyone's pain wondering how he can start his communist ahem I meant to say liberal radio station. Can't wait for Michael Moore's movie "Dude, how to drag and kill a Briton" movie.....
They all seem to have settled on that scummy phrasing: "The assailants, suspected Islamic militants"
The most recent AP article began, "Suspected militants."
What in the hell does that mean? You say of a named individual that he is suspected of a crime, in order to protect him on the outside chance that he is innocent. But you don't say that unknown individuals are "suspected" of committing a known and witnessed atrocity.
These people are not militants. They are terrorists and murderers. And they are not "suspected," you mealy mouthed traitors at AP, Reuters, CNN, AFP, and the rest.
And, let us not forget that Tubby Kennedy sez that we are as bad as Saddam.
When this happened to James Byrd in Texas, the liberals blamed it on Governor George W. Bush.
I almost hate to say this but Saudi Arabia deserves what they get. How many of the 9/11 terrorists were from and supported by Saudi Arabia?
Of course not! Dragging a body for a mile behind a vehicle, cutting the head off of a hostage, burning the bodies of civilians and hanging them off of a bridge is nowhere near as bad as putting panties on terrorists heads or forcing them to do the birthday suit pyramid. At least not in a liberals mind!!
dang guy, you nailed it. this will be Dubya's fault to by morning. so sad.........
15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were Saudis ...
