Kind of but I was able to read between the lines. CAIR stated something to the effect that they condemned all killing in the name of religion (translation the Jews are killing those poor innocent palestinians). CAIR is a bunch of CAIRorrists!!!

Are people here aware that a plural majority of U.S. Muslims are black, not Arab? 75% of Arab-Americans are Christian, not Muslim. The Muslim breakdown in America: 40% black, 30% Asian, 20% Arab, 10% white. While only 2% of black Americans are Muslim, Islam is the group's fastest-growing religion. So all this talk about "foreigners" is completely missing the point. I'm more concerned about disaffected, native-born blacks and whites (as the FBI's recent al-Qaeda alert, the D.C. snipers, and American Talibans demonstrate). We must cut off Wahhabist funds that are funding Islam's spread in various native-born U.S. communities. Churches must step up to the plate as well.

Moderate Muslims March in Phoenix

When the American Islamic Forum for Democracy organized “A Rally against Terror” on April 25 in Phoenix, its head, an Arizona physician named Zuhdi Jasser, said his goal was to give Muslim moderates “an opportunity to speak out publicly.”

The Muslim community of Phoenix is estimated at 50,000 persons; Jasser worked strenuously to reach out to the Valley Council of Imams, Valley mosques and major Valley Islamic organizations; and the Arizona Republic, the leading newspaper of Phoenix, gave the rally its full-fledged support. A head of steam behind him, Jasser optimistically predicted that 500 to 1,000 people would attend the event.

But then the event was held (an audio of the 50-minute long event can be heard online) and reality set in. Estimates vary. The Arizona Republic counted 250 in attendance, the police 400. The number of Muslims, I heard, was between 30 and 100 persons.

Editorial: So an anti-terrorism rally by Muslims draws about 0.1% of their population. Shall we assume the other 99.9% are pro-terrorism, or just unwilling to shift their lazy butts?

How about they didn't want to risk their lives and safety of their family to attend a rally? Dr. Jasser only expected about 30-50 to show up, for just those reasons.

Actually Amin, American muslims better pray the terrorists gon't nuke or dirty bomb the U.S... and pray to a real god, the judeo-christian one. Because many americans will NOT just sigh and whine why don't the gov't do something. Takeing hostages can work two ways. Watch the Jerry Springer Show or American Wrestling. Not all americans are dealing with a full deck of cards.. and others don't play games at all. This country is NOT France, Germany or England we're armed..

AREN'T we tolerating Islam? Are there not countless mosques in this country? In almost all western countries?
How many churches and cathedrals are in Saudi Arabia, Iran, other Muslim countries?
Islam's TENETS demand the subjugation of other religions and the truimph of Islam. I don't hear violence against, and condemnation of, other religions in my church. No other religion that I know of preaches the subjugation of all other faiths by violent means- only Islam.
Islam is a disease. It cannot be compared to other religions. We tolerate it at our peril.
To tolerate that which espouses to destroy you is madness.

To our inevitable destruction, unfortunately-unless we wise up as a nation and culture.
No other religion, in their houses of worship, preaches hatred for- and the subjugation of- other religions.
No priest or Christian minister that I have ever heard of stands before their congregation and incites them to hatred and violence. No other religion officially loathes the presence of those who do not follow it. No other religion decries and forbids the existence of other houses of worship.
I. personally, think it's past time for other religions to start thinking more about their self-preservation, and less about tolerating that which is designed to destroy them.

The DIFFERENCE between tolerating Islam and other religions, is this:
Tolerance of Christianity, Judiasm,B'hai,Buddhism,Rastafarianism, etc, etc, encourages more tolerance.
Tolerating Islam is tolerating a cult whose stated purpose is to END the other religions. With Islam, freedom of religion- this culture as we know it- ENDS.
I'll say it again.
It is no virtue to tolerate that which will destroy you and end all tolerance. The tenets of Islam are hatred and violence.Islam tolerates nothing but Islam.
I do not tolerate a 'religon' that labels me an 'infidel' and wants me subjugated or dead. I will not.
I question the sanity of anyone who does.

Are you going to remember the Chechen Islamonazis who gas opera houses in Moscow?

No, and I disagree with your implied premise that the 1980s freedom fighter in Afghanistan -- who perhaps now just wants to get his country back into shape after years of war -- is a terrorist automatically.

But this is one State Department fire and forget weapon that has been very hard to recall, hasn't it? The Cold War required drastic steps, and every one came with a price tag. For example, we still have problems with radioactive waste because of the unreasonable pace of our weapons systems development. But we deal with radiation by sweeping it up, or isolating them.

Your other post about the Japanese reflects my perspective, as well.

The plan was endorsed by the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California, which represents 55 mosques in the Los Angeles area.

Proclamations regarding what Islam is about and not about are pretty meaningless to me. I look more at what people DO than what they PROCLAIM.

Now, if something concrete should actually be accomplished as a result of this "plan" or any other action that involved active participation by muslims, THAT will be something muslims can be proud of and I can associate with.
