Reinstate him for what reason? His judicial prowess?

His decision on the monument was a self-serving, ego stroking, self-promoting stunt.

Let's choose justices based on something substantial.

I've met Moore several times, and his knowledge of the both the law and the US Constitution are simply without parallel, but he showed truly bad judgement in forcing this issue.

Flame away, I can take it.

"Reinstate him for what reason? His judicial prowess?"

Maybe because he has a set of balls, stood on principle, and drew a cultural line-in-the-sand.

But then again, if you prefer your "leaders" to bend over for the ACLU in their pretty li'l polka-dot dress, then that's your prerogative.

Reinstate a guy whose understanding of the Constitution is probably exceeded by most brain-damaged five year olds, and whose political amibition is unrivaled? I don't think so. What he did was a cheap stunt to rally the faithful around him when he finally decides to run for Gov. Anyone who would use the Bible for his own political goals deserves nothing but scorn and condemnation.

While I agree with Moore's philosophy's and admire the stand he took -- the bottom line is he ignored a Federal Court Order (No matter how flawed and full of baloney it was), and as such broke the law and forfieted his own right to stand in judgement of other people.

I fully supported Judge Moore and his fight to keep the Commandments in place, but when he lost the case I like Gov Riley and Attorney General Prior sided with the Rule of Law. I disagree with Thompson's ruling, but when the SCOTUS upheld it there was no choice but to remove the monument.

The kicker to the whole thing, is that the Ten Commandments are now hanging on the wall in the same Rotunda that the monument sat.

Justice Moore owed the populus of Alabama--particularly those who contributed to his campaign--some devotion to judicial issues, rather than self-promotion.

His stunt--and that's truly what it was--cost conservatives in Alabama that spot in the SCOTAL so he could advance his potential for a political career.

I'm truly against groups like the ACLU getting courts to tell citizens how to live their lives, but he got suckered on this one bigtime--the irony is that he set a trap for himself, and walked right into it.

Sad that some are blinded to the larger issue because it revolves around a quasi-religious topic.

Listen, tough guy--I've had the privilege of hearing Moore's arguments for this issue first-hand.

Moore is truly a good and decent man.

However, we have differing opinions on Moore's judgement as it relates to pressing the issue on the monument.

Why do you have to respond with an insult? Are you incapable of intelligent debate?

Let's see...

Judge who supports Christianity versus judge who does not.

I'll take Judge No. 1!

Great. So do I.

What point are you trying to make?

The Ten Commandments came quite a few centuries before Jesus Christ, FYI.

My point is that any judge who supports Christians is still better than judges who do not support Christians. If he is pompous, if he is wrong, if he was mistaken, he still tried to keep the 10 commandments visible instead of taken to the cloakroom.

Keep them visible? LOL. The monument was created at the behest of Moore. He ordered it to be displayed in the SC rotunda.

Alabama NEEDED a SC justice with convictions like Moore has.

Instead of going to Montgomery to serve the state, he went to raise his profile.

As a result, the state is deprived of a SC Chief Justice with morals.

Shame on Roy Moore.

It's called civil disobedience.

Think of Moore as flying down the field on a kickoff and giving up the body by smashing himself into a wedge of blockers...

He knew he was gonna take a huge hit, but now it's up to others to pick him up.

The ACLU's invoking ambiguous loopholes with regard to the fictitious "separation of church and state" must be stopped dead in it's tracks.

Btw -- Why doesn't the government indict itself for "breaking the law" with its printing of and thus "advocacy" of 'God' on our money, or by its evocation of Congressional Prayers?

Count yourself in that group, bro.

The "larger issue" is about the hijacking of American tradition and culture, maintaining free speech, and judicial tyranny -- in case if you haven't been paying attention.

Must be very bright five year olds, because Judge Moore was/is irrefutably correct in the 'Ten Commandments' case.

Wrong ace....God the Son God the Father God the Holy Spirit

JESUS IS GOD ..and is therefore timeless...since the beginning...one with the father...,p> NO MAN has seen the Father....Moses received the 10 commandments from Jesus..aka God the Son...

Jesus wrote the 10 commandments...

FWIW

So if I abide by everything in the Old Testament--that is to say the part of the Bible that came before the birth of Christ--will I be 'saved'?
