The source of the Nugent draft dodging is Ted himself, in a Creem magazine interview years ago. Ted was being interviewed by a leftist hippie named Lester Bangers and Ted made a story up about how he did some unspeakable things to himself to avoid the draft. As with 80% of the things Nugent says, it was a complete fabrication designed to play around with someone's head. He has emphatically denied the story's veracity, while still owning up to telling it.

As for Toby Keith smoking pot, that's probably one of the better non sequiturs I've seen here. Who cares?
