How does one "cooperate" with a federal grand jury?

Cooperation implies that there is a common goal and common interests.

An awfull lot of investigating for a mere 'desk jockey' being identified - I thought everyone in DC knew who/what she was/did.

"Cooperation implies that there is a common goal and common interests"
this means that Bush knows nothing about it and wants to help FBI to find the leaker.

common goal
Both the grand jury and Bush "want to know the truth," hence the word "cooperate."

Yes - Bush is the backboard that they use to hold the targets - no matter what the target, the backboard always gets it...

I was thinking the same thing this morning; six months so far.

And not a peak out of that GR.

As if he has been uncooperative until now? Nope, no bias here!

Another attempt to smear Bush.
Their agenda is so obvious.

"Their agenda is so obvious."

I don't know who they are - I must be really dense. Is it the CIA, Justice Dept., White House, tooth fairy....?

News media that paints EVERYTHING negative.
"THEY" are anti Bush or haven't you been paying attention?

""THEY" are anti Bush ..."

Then why is Bush going to cooperate with 'THEM' - the anti-Bushes? The fact that everyone seems to want to find the person responsible for leaking the identity of an undercover asset of the CIA is not a negative story - it's reporting that a crime was comitted. Do you think letting criminals that violate the laws of the US and disclose 'classified' info should not be persued & punished?

Democrats seized on the news to criticize the president.

"It speaks for itself that the president initially claimed he wanted to get to the bottom of this, but now he's suddenly retained a lawyer," said Jano Cabrera, spokesman for the Democratic National Committee (news - web sites). "Bush shouldn't drag the country through grand juries and legal maneuvering. President Bush should come forward with what he knows and come clean with the American people."

I know you relish being obtuse.
Please try to see the political side to this.
POTUS is not liked by much of our media.

Bush is not cooperating with "THEM"=the media,
but with an investigative grand jury.
It is the media, however, that wishes to paint
Bush negatively for their own political agenda:
"make Bush a one term POTUS."
