You'll see that your nasty post to me
has been deleted. You were way of out
line with your crudeness.
Good day to you.
I refuted everything you said about Haley Barbour.

I still say he's a RINO. ;-) I also think he's not Presidential material. I'm not even sure he's governor material.I agree, definitely not Presidential material, and governor material...he comes across as taking direction from Washington D.C. at times, and I don't like that in a governor.
President Reagan's death this weekend has made me stop and think about the Presidents and candidates who have been around since '88, and none of them really come close to his level. Neither Bush, definitely not Clinton, nor Gore, Dole, etc.
Pretty sad state of affairs, but I bet it'll be decades before we come across anybody even close to Reagan. On the GOP side, the two best Presidents we've had over the past 50 years has been Eisenhower and Reagan (actually I would say those are the two best we've had, period).

Are you a freaking lunatic? look Jeb can go in 2012 but too many bushes so close will be very bad for us. THINK strategically
The first vote I ever cast was for Pat Buchanan( in the '96 primary). I voted Libertarian in the general because Dole was so far behind in California that it didn't really matter..
We don't need any more Bushes in the White House. We need a real conservative( and hopefully both Houses of Congress) who can make a difference..

Lots of folks around here get carried away don't they?
If Rice were not a twofer to sate pc inclinations, who would care? I mean, I guess she's capable enough but she's the first NSA I recall being drummed as President.....
Pubbie modruts are ok to fill leaks in the dyke but hardly to run as president.

In 2008 it will come down to Giuliani and Jeb Bush, however, Gov. Ernie Fletcher of Kentucky will emerge as the dark horse and seize the nomination.
Hillary wins by a surprisingly small margin.
But not to fear....the "Bush Push" to amend the Constitution
allowing foreign born citizens to run for President succeeds before he leaves office.
In 2012....Hillary gets pumped by Arnold and is sent into private life.

Why on Earth is McCain's name mentioned here? The guy will be 72 years old in 2008! C'mon, the man has and will continue to have mounting health issues, especially four years further down the road.
His one shot was in 2000, which is one reason why he's still bitter. He thinks he lost to a lesser man.

Many of the names on here are just terrible, but a few that have caught my interest include Haley Barbour (with his contacts he can raise fistloads of cash and he's a great speaker) and Mark Sanford (always on the lookout for those younger, rising star GOPers).
Always liked Chris Cox, too.
I say keep an eye on who is in the administration after Pres. Bush gets re-elected. Former Reagan or Bush 41 administration types bear watching as well.
But, Republicans being Republicans, they'll probably coalesce around both Jeb Bush and Liddy Dole and give one or the other the nomination. *Sigh* we can be so predictable, I tell ya.

A Powell/Condi ticket would give Demonrats fits. It would, but I think they are both more socially liberal than a lot of Repubs would be comfortable with. Either way, I think both of them have had enough with the politics and are headed back to the private sector. Powell's gone after this term.

Hillary will be the opponent. So the question is, who matches up best. It has to be someone national someone big. The only ones who have a shot at this early stage in my humble opinion are Rice, Jeb, and Rudy. Rudy has too much social baggage I think. So it's Rice and Jeb. I think there's a good chance they'll both be on the ticket in some order.

While popular, Jeb will be a lightning rod for every negative news event that emerges in 2008.
(Chads are to Jeb like tanks are to Jane Fonda)
Too many bitter memories.
He loses the nomination and is sent permanently into private life. In the years after 2008 we often see video of Jeb on a yacht honing his skills as a deep sea fisherman.
The Bush Dynasty takes a breather until Camelot...
er...I mean Billy Bush.
Billy becomes the family's next nominee for President in 2020.
But first comes the Hillary disaster.
President of the United States
Hillary Clinton (D-NY) 2009-2013
Ernie Fletcher (R-Ky) defeated
Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-Ca) 2013-2021
(U.S. Constitution Article II Section 1 amended in 2010)
Evan Bayh (D-Ind) defeated
William Billy Bush (R-NY) 2021-2029
John Travolta (D-Ca) defeated
