My Prayer for the viewing, mourning, honor of President Reagan
Self | June 8, 2004 | Jeff Head

Posted on 06/08/2004 7:32:00 AM PDT by Jeff Head

Regarding the growing wait to see the late President Reagan lying in state.

...I am overjoyed to see it. I wish I could be there. I woudl gladly wait 24 hours or more to be honored to see him lying in state. Myself and my family will be there in spirit.

I pray that the masses who desire to see him amaze everyone...that they are so numberless that they cannot be contained. I pray that they will wait as long as necessary and be glad and willing to do so, in California and in DC...white, black, yellow, brown and red.

I pray that it becomes such a phenomena that the press can't hide it, that they are at a complete loss of wors to explain it... that their socialist/liberal programs and voices are in fact left utterly speechless by it!

This is my prayer for this week of mourning and honor for the former President Ronald Reagan and his great all-American legacy...a legacy that will show him to be on of the top tow or three greatest presidents this nation had evr had, or that we have been blessed by God to see in office.

Hours in CA have already had to be extended due to the over whelming response of people wanting to pay respects!

My son and I wish we could be there to honor him. My son is only 19 years old, but he knows about President Reagan, and honors him as a father figure.

Wish I was there, but I am going to spend it at the Idaho Republican Convention.

I have a feeling it will be a wonderful time together.

Will be thinking of you.

God Bless You Mud.

I don't agree .. President Bush has done an outstanding job of getting our military back on track. In fact, there are hundreds of similarities between the two. Yes, they are their own person and each has their own personality .. however, their policies and personal idealogies are very, very similar.

My prayer is that America will be revived by remembering not only what Reagan stood for but will realize that President Bush also stands for the same things.

Bush' heart is in the right place however the mood of the nation will not allow restoration of the ill advised premature draw down of the 1990s. The level of welfare burden we now have to sustain is very high. To be fair, Bush would have to be even more persuasive than Reagan was in order to do anything about this. We need to forget about disarmament and rearm. We will eventually, but it will be painful until then.

I am afraid it will take something like THIS before we do. I hope I am wrong.

I will join you in that prayer, realizing that in the main this is corrent, but there are some social program and immigration issues where Bush need's to change for it to be completely true IMHO.

I'm closing my business on Friday while his funeral is taking place. Ronald Reagan is one of the few mortals to truly impress me to the point that I consider them great. My father was a great man to me. Ronald Reagan was a great man to me. He is the ONLY public figure of any kind who has EVER generated such admiration and inspiration within my soul. He is a great great man, and I hope he's now face to face with Christ.

Thank you my friend. I agree 100% about Reagan...and about my own Dad.

...and I have great faith that he is with our Savior.

I am considering trying to get down to California for Friday afternoon.

I wish I could be there.

There are thousands and thousands wishing they could be there, I include myself among those.

I want to go over at some point. I am not certain I would be able to stand the hours necessary for the Capitol but I might be able to swell the crowd on the streets.

I was a Reagan delegate to the VA Convention back when and understand more than ever that it is one of the God-led things I have done. It was an impossible accomplishment then and now I know why it had to happen.

Government is out but business will still be open, I suspect. With all the "whigs" coming into town security is already heightened. They have sealed the manholes and are proceeding according to list.

Prayer will do more to secure the safety of all than all the prep that they do. However, the dominant lying spirit of this region will constitute an enormous barrier and be a task to overcome to see that the true scope of the outpouring of gratitude and affection for President Reagan is acknowledged, revealed and reported.

I hope the turnout and the feelings sweep this nation.

I think that is EXACTLY what will happen.
Did our beloved president not die on D-day?
It was so appropriate.
Are they not, even now, extending the viewing hours in California to try and accomodate what few people we can?

The press may TRY and say "this is nearly as phenomienal as the kennedy funeral..." but in my heart I fully expect the turnout and public response to the Promotion and Passing of Ronald Reagan, to be far greater than that.

I believe if we survive as a nation the current islamoterrorist cancer on this planet, that history will record Reagan along with Lincoln and Adams, or Jefferson... as one of the greatest men of our last millenia in Western Civilization.

and as for our stupid presstitutes who will NEVER GET IT?!?! To quote our beloved president, "well, er... There They Go Again!"

It is really quite choice that Clintong is being frozen OUT of this event by the family of Ronald Reagan and THIS president of the USA, at this point. After the wellstone "campaign/funeral gone insane?!?) , I think he should be physically restrained from attendance at ANY event honoring the president of the last Century, The American Century... RWR.

God bless you Ronnie, we barely even got to know ya...
Until we meet again...
Happy Trails Mr. President.

Well .. I'm not talking about legislation .. I'm talking their optimism, ther personal discipline, their sense of humor, their faith in God and the people of America, and their idealogy .. nothing else.

I know...I just believe that he is a little more akin to social programs and government intervention in some areas than Reagan was...not a lot mind you...but some.

But, I do take great hope with Bush because I believe his faith is genuine and sincere...and that he has a hope an optimism born of faith in Christ and the principles that such a faith is based upon. Therefore, he is reachable, prticularly from above...and I believe he will respond to those inspirations and promptings.

"the nation will not allow restoration of the ill advised premature draw down"

Huh ..?? The public has been running 75% in support of building up the military. But .. since when has Bush done anything because of what the polls said. Besides, Rumsfeld has been tasked with upgrading the military .. thereby eliminating the extreme buildup as in the Reagan years.

"this is nearly as phenomienal as the kennedy funeral"

What a joke the media is. I exerienced both and JFK was nothing compared to this.

The outpouring for JFK was more immediate grief for our nation and his young family than it was out of respect for him and his legacy. He was immoral, he copped out at the Bay of Pigs and left Americans on the ground...and he was a liberal/socialist at heart.

Reagan's outpouring is because the man and the principles he espoused, lived and communicated for years were GREAT! ...and what he accomplished with them was GREAT! The people know this, and ten years after his departure from the public view , they are STILL responding to it.
