While you're correct about "Going Home" being based on the slow movement of Dvorak's Ninth Symphony (using the correct chronilogical numbering of his symphonies), you are, I believe, incorrect about the derivation. Dvorak undoubtedly was influenced by the American music he heard during his time here in 1890's. But the music in the slow movement of the symphony "from the New World" was completely original; it was not taken from any specific spiritual or any other direct source. The "Going Home" text was added later to Dvorak's music, if I remember correctly.

Drago, thanks for your reply. In all honesty I did not realize that link was some type of piracy. At our house, we have never pirated anything ever. But I am not familiar with how it's done, so did not realize that was what the link was for. Thank you for educating me about it.
We have a plain little computer with a compact disc player, but no capacity to "burn" CDs. I never download anything, for fear of virus problems.

At some point, I thought on the way out of the Capitol, they played "Faith of our Fathers", which is also known as the National Hymn. I know they played Eternal Father, Strong to Save at some point too. They also played "Abide with Me", which I had played at my Mother's funeral, and would like to have played at my own.
