Occupied Jerusalem - The Israeli apartheid regime has arrested a former US Marine and initiator of the Human Shield Action to Iraq named Ken O'Keefe, accusing him "of endangering Israeli security."
O'keefe reportedly was arrested Thursday while attempting to enter the Gaza Strip.
O'keefe said he was going to discuss with the people and leaders of Gaza a plan to bring 10,000 western citizens who would act as international observers in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.
O'Keefe was detained with another peace activist, named Ian Hodgson, as they walked along the beach into Palestinian towns from an area seized by Jewish settlers at the northern Gaza Strip.
"I desperately wanted to discuss this idea with people in Gaza, and would not simply accept Israel's refusal to admit me entry. Our goal is to save life on both sides of the conflict, and uphold international law by ending Israel's illegal and immoral occupation, which is the root cause of Palestinian violence," said O'Keefe.
He described Israeli repression of Palestinian civilians as "state terrorism."
"Israel's state terrorism is fueling the conflict. Israel must stop its assassinations, incursions, house demolitions and building of the wall, and fully withdraw its illegal settlements and military from the occupied territories until there can be any movement toward a peaceful resolution of this conflict."
He further urged Israel to respect the human rights of the Palestinian people.
O'keefe's remarks reportedly angered the Israeli security authorities, prompting one police official to threaten to deport the American activist to London..
The Israeli occupation regime effectively imprisons over a million Palestinians in Gaza and only allow some journalists and representatives of western-supported NGOs to travel outside the 300-square kilometer's strip.
The Israelis could of just saved their lives. He should of been wandering around Mosul, Iraq.

Blithering idiot just got his life saved. Gaza is in HAMAS hands, if he wants to talk to Arafat he would have to go to Ramallah. HAMAS once put out flyers putting $10,000 price on American heads. Seeing that the average Arab now only makes a thousand a year that is 10 years wages.
They arrested him trying to walk around the wall on the beach. Like the IDF don't keep an eye there.
Arafat knows the value of media wonks, but HAMAS is less amused. Last human shield in Gaza got shot standing between the IDF and the Pali's. Arafat blamed the IDF of course, but could not explain how he was shot in the back of the head while facing the IDF.
I wonder what level of blindness that is necessary to blame the Jews of State Terrorism during an arrest, while ignoring the State Dispatched Islam-0-Kazis in PA Police uniforms who shoot children in their beds in the middle of the night.
I don't know. If he took 10,000 over there and they were not here to vote this fall, I think I could go for this.
We'd be morally obligated to reimburse the the Israelis for ammo, not to mention wear-and-tear on the bulldozers.

I remember him. I think he either had a hard time getting into Iraq to be the Human Panty Shield or he wasn't able to get in at all. He is a very bitter POS. And I believe that he has served time. There is an outstanding warrant for him here in the U.S. I hope the Israeli's do us a favor and start up the catepillar.
