Good rationale for closing down shooting ranges, too.

Sounds like he was advised that he was violating the law and continued to do so. We don't pick and choose which laws we adhere to in this country, the law is the law.

Yes, it apparently is, and shooting ranges do get shut down. Our shooting range is the other side of the landfill and adjacent to the military ranges. So it will be good for a while longer even though it has been shortened some to 300 yards, which means I can't get all the pistol practice I need.

Given all the ridiculous, unconstitutional and just plain stupid laws being cooked up by the parasites - we do now. And we need more of this kind of resistance, or Big Stupid Government will assume they totally own us. Instead of just most of us.

Private property is an oxymoron.

Exactly.

"I've been saying for years that the real threat to our freedoms comes not from Washington, but from petty bureaucrats and tin-pot politicians in counties and towns all over the country."

Couldn't have described it better to account for all the 'no smoking' signs bars and restaurants imposed by that lacky gang of despots. No such thing as private property anymore. Taxation and regulation signalled the end of the 'pursuit of happiness' in America.

Liberty is up next on the chopping block (guns). After that, your life won't be worth a damn anyway, except for how the 'state' wants to use you.

"He took this whole thing and threw it back in our face," board member John Beattie said. "What are we supposed to do?"

Here's a suggestion, John:

Piss off and leave the guy alone. This isn't Amerika...yet.

If there's water enough to make all that mud, it's obviously (at least part) unbuildable wetlands anyway...

Please inform me when the hundreds of thousands of illegal lawbreakers have been rounded up and sent home.

Bull$hit!

Um, he purposely floods his land for these events. This is not "swamp land."

Trust me, 900 acres ANYWHERE in Martin County is worth untold millions of dollars.

So there is a lein on this guys land for $2.8 million?

What happens if he sells it to a relative for a $1 and declares bankruptcy, then buys it back for a $1 a year later?
