Some Democratic spinmeister on Fox the other night did the same thing, basically said, "Yeah, yeah, there are jobs, but what people are really worried about is health care."

You are more correct than you know.

Yeah, I'm worried about health care. Mine. I think I'm going to have a stroke before this election is over. :)

Can you imagine being a Dem campaign person and having to live in topsy turvy world? You turn on the TV every morning with dread. "Hmm, jobs are up, the economy is growing, and things seem to be turning around in Iraq. That's awful!"

George Bush could sign a law today sending every American a check for a million dollars and the brainwash doctors in the liberal media would still find people out there that are miserable and report it as the whole country being in an economic depression.

If the election were today, and Kerry were elected (ugh!), the Today Show would turn on a dime in its economic reporting. Just remember how the "Homeless Crisis" of the Reagan/Bush I years disappeared the morning after Clinton's inauguration.

They will not be able to disguise their glee...Speaking of glee - the perky one was in an especially good mood last Thursday morning broadcasting live from the Rotunda. My wife and I got in line for the viewing at approximately 10:00 am and, she was at the entrance of the line, glad handing people, signing autographs, having her picture taken, etc. She was behaving as though she was at a barbeque, not a wake for the best Preisdent she will never know. I wanted to go over and ask her why she had disrespected Nancy Reagn so much when she did her show on First Ladies But, my wife had suggested to me that it would be best to keep my mouth shut just this once and avoid a conflict out of respect for RR. I decided she was right and took her advice. Although her behavior was disrespectful for the occasion - it was not surprising to see it.
I'd go as far to say she looked HAPPY that President Reagan was dead.

If Kerry is going to stake his election strategy on those topics, I say "knock yourself out, John!"

Fine. We own talk radio and the internet, the whimpering liberals own virtually all televised media. We have a long way to go in an effort to even the race.

You should be ripped. Imus is campaigning 24x7 for his liberal buddies, uncluding kerry.
As you were.

I thought of what I would say if I was in line paying my respects to Ronald Reagan and all of the sudden Kerry shows up and cuts line. My first inclination would be be to say, "Why didn't you bring your past and present comrade jane fonda with you and don't forget to throw someone elses medals on the coffin".
I don't think I would have actually said it if the situation presented itself, for reasons of respect and decorum to Ronald Reagan, and I think that the lack of those traits(repsect and decorum) makes a democrat(i.e katie couric, etc. etc.)

The one with the most negative views of the economy - a slightly freaky looking young woman, was given two separate sound bites. In the first she described the economy as feeling like "a depression." And later she was heard to make some equally gloomy observation. Is she off her rocker? Or just liberal-indoctinated??? Here's a comparison of unemployment rates:
Today's economy: 5.6 percent
Great Depression: 25 percent

Faced with this 'grim' picture Today desperately thrashed around and this morning came up with a hook: "it's the inflation, stupid." It's the DEMAND, stupid. And with milk prices, could be price supports, brought to you by your "friends" in government...
