PAT JOINS BUSH WHACKERS (Buchanan)
New York Post ^ | 6/17/04 | SARA NELSON

June 17, 2004 -- JOINING the ranks of Bush-bashing books is one from a most unlikely source. The Thomas Dunne imprint of St. Martin's Press has agreed to pay around $500,000 to Pat Buchanan for an anti-Dubya book to be called "Where the Right Went Wrong."

The proto-conservative will blast the Bush Administration for behaviors both domestic and foreign. He is particularly scornful of the U.S. foreign policy that has "ignited a war of civilizations" with the Islamic world.

Publishing insiders say Buchanan's thoughts on the 43rd president are surprisingly out of character.

"They could put Michael Moore on the jacket of this book, and people would believe he wrote it," one said.

Buchanan is a failed politician, a failed conservative, a mental midget who has been wrong on just about everthing he has backed. Only MSNBC would have a home for him.

Pat Buchanan, Nearly Destroyed the Republican Party's Integrity, by trying to represent the Republican Party as some kind of far right wing extremist group. I am not sure that Pat Buchanan speaks from Conviction, or is just another "cheap Media Whore", like Michael Moore. I mean after all....Pat Buchanan worked for CNN in it's heyday as the "liberal voice".

Everything Pat Buchanan has ever done has been against the Republican Party, either my misrepresenting himself as a Republican, or as a Conservative. If Pat Buchanan endorses John Kerry, then that proves what I have said is the truth. Pat Buchanan has always been an operative for the DNC.

I still don't understand why anyone on this planet gives...

Well his last two books were best sellers and maybe here comes a third. Pat is one great original thinking writer and an accomplished 'conservative' American.

Pat is usually 100% on the mark and sometimes 10%. Either way, there would be no pro and con without Pat.

But the 'Catholic Bashers' won't let Pat alone. Pat dislikes some policies even if they are backed by the 'corner'. When he does, then here comes the 'antisemite charges'.

I'll reserve judgement until the book comes out.

'Pat should STFU and retire to Ireland where Marxism and Bush hating is widely embraced.'

For every tear there is a laugh in the heart of the Irish.

Buchanan is without tears, and without a laugh. He is not an Irishman. He is only a citizen of the country of I, me and my. He remains but a thug in any land.

Ping. Patsy and his marks are back. We've even got some of what I'd call "supermarks" on this one.

Illustrating that "publishing insiders" are not surprisingly stupid.

.Pat Buchanan worked for CNN in it's heyday as the "liberal voice".

Now that's just plain non sense.

Everything Pat Buchanan has ever done has been against the Republican Party

You're way off base! Nixon, Ford and then Reagan hired Pat, why hmmmmm?

If Pat Buchanan endorses John Kerry...

There you go again with your if this and if that. Get serious. And calling him a 'media W', same can be said of you except it would be true based on what I've read.

Very true...

But we shouldn't be too rough on Pat. He lost a couple of relatives in the Holocaust. One poor fella fell from a guard tower...

No surprise there...

People pay good money to slam Republicans, but they get all upset when RATs are the targets.

Catch the latest BS from the 9/11 Commission?

That's the umpteen time I've read that 'Franken' style punch line, and it wasn't funny the first time. It's indicative of how, to the core rotten, Pat bashers are.

Yep. I'm surprised they didn't call Pat to be on that commisssion...he would have loved it! He could have bashed both the President AND America all day, instead of in a few columns or books now and then like he does now.

He's so funny. America decides that he's nowhere even CLOSE to presidential material, so he goes on tirades against it and the man who DID win at every opportunity. Provided, of course, he can squeeze that in between the Israel-bashing and demagoguing.
