"Working here or working there will count just the same, there will be equal access to the same rights, in health, in retirements, in pensions, in housing, and in savings".

And it doesn't matter if your "account" is on a stolen ID, someone elses, or completely fake...

NRT, can you believe the brass Fox has to make promises he expects Bush to keep?!

Mr. President; THROW THAT SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST OUT, NOW!!

The government of Mexico will not permit violations of the human and labor rights of Mexicans living in the United States, said Mexican President Vicente Fox Quesada, stressing that, "we will stand beside every Mexican woman and man in this country, we will defend them against the raids being carried out in the state of California."

The more I read this, the more scary this seems. Will our President say one single word in defense of our sovereignty?

Did President Bush not say just a few months ago that Mexico is our good friend?

One has to wonder what is really going on here.

V. Fox is to be in the US for 2 more days trashing the US and our laws. Bush will never say a word against him. My thinking is that unless Bush gets some sort of immigration policy aimed at Mexico, Fox will undermind him in the elections and support the Democrats. This will never hit the media.

Hey Fox..............you simply can NOT be serious.

Try this: try enforcing our mutual border. Try treating those who infiltrate our border illegally as the criminals they are. Try growing a SPINE, you miserable twit.

Never in history has a nation allowed itself to be take over by foreign citizens, all the while giving them financial support to complete their task.

I would say the fall of Rome comes close. They let the barbarians stay and paid them to defend some of the frontiers. History shows how well that worked out.

I fear a new "Dark Age" will follow if this country fails to wake up and take action.

You are correct. Fox has promised the Mexicans our social security.

Like I said before, Mexico has annexed the US.

What is going on here is the only way Mexico can get a hold of dollars is by their illegal emigrants shipping them back to the wives.

Who then blow those dollars on rooster fights.

China did the same thing - even with the Great Wall. National defense cannot be expected effective as a passive, leisure activity.

I don't know guy. He has ignored obvious problems for four years. I can't explain it. He's given the other side a number of issues they can skewer him with. If they do, what will he say? If Kerry roasted Bush over illegal immigration, what could Bush say? I wince when I hear about the 1-2% inspections at our borders and ports. We have Iraqi nationals coming across our southern border, Chinese too. I've been saying this for four years, and the loyalists have been fit to be tied. I didn't think they were doing him any favors then, and I don't think it's good for him now. Let's just hope the other side doesn't cash in on it.

It should be in the news, here in Az. There has been a sudden upsurge in arrests of elderly Americans who, having crossed the border, in search of cheap prescription drugs, are being tossed into Mexican prisons. Channel 3 in Phoenix profiled the plight of a 67 yr. old man, who traveled to Mexico, to secure drugs for his sick wife. Had a legal prescription (which the Mexican govt. doesn't recognize) and he's now facing up to 10 yrs. in prison. The news channel says that they know of at least a dozen other Americans in the same boat - languishing in prisons, but our Consulate does nothing about it. In fact, these prisoners are not even fed - they have to have family and friends bring them food or they don't eat. I have no use for these 'neighbors' to our South. It would make a fine place to resume above ground nuclear testing IMHO

If the morality present in the U.S. flickers out, the dark ages will look like utopian bliss, to what will take place over it's rotting corpse. IMO

Will our President say one single word in defense of our sovereignty?

Some here have suggested these recent raids are token actions to pacify conservatives.

I think that's true but - not the whole story.

We'll enforce immigration laws to a point, just enough to get the attention of radical activists and foreign governments. (This has been accomplished)

The next step will be the White House announcing a cease-fire and saying they want no part in violating the human rights of foreign nationals.

Token enforcement then, look see, it's politically unfeasable to continue.

Just my opinion.

Uh, human rights violations should not be permited anywhere, regardless of where people come from, or what their diplomatic status happens to be.

It's too bad that just because some people might have arrived here illegally, therefore some think it's OK to abuse them and violate their human rights. That's disgusting.

That's outrageous, we'll never hear about or see this news in the national media but we will get stories of Fox making demands of the US, a superpower. They must be laughing their butts off in Mexico at what chumps we are.

Who said anything about abusing anyone? That's the whole point, no one is other than enforcing the laws. Which by itself is an abuse according to an unwanted foreign leader. Fox should go home and take care of business in his own country before complaining about someone else's.

If giving illegal aliens (no, they're not 'undocumented workers') free health services, food stamps, drivers licenses and a virtual plethora of other freebies is a 'human rights' abuse, I can think of a lot of overtaxed Americans who would gladly say, 'Hurt me! Hurt me!'
