Oddly enough, Traci Lords may have the high road. I think I read somewhere that she is 'reformed,' so to speak.

Madonna, or rather Esther, on the other hand...

Is there any sort of disgustment this hag won't allow to dribble out of her various orifices?

Is she still sporting that faux euro-trashy accent?

Love the fact that Madonna "renamed" herself...like Prince. He didn't even choose a NAME, though. Then he did it again....these folks have a HUGE identity crisis. In light of this, we're supposed to take her seriously???

Madonna has forsaken her mother's name for the Hebrew name Esther

Madonna has announced that she now goes by the name Esther. Madonna will reportedly reveal the specifics of her decision on an interview that will air on ABC's 20/20 this evening.

Madonna's choice to rename herself Esther (it's not clear if she'll be using the name publicly or just privately) is part of her dedication to Kabbalah, a form of Jewish mysticism.

The performer said she is upset people think her beliefs are just another fad she has embraced.

I'm a little bit irritated that people think that it's like some celebrity bandwagon that I've jumped on, or that, say, somebody like Demi (Moore) has jumped on, she said. "We don't take it lightly.

Paris Hilton did come to the Kabbalah Centre once, because her parents brought her ... she left and she never came back and suddenly, Paris Hilton studies Kabbalah. ... (People) don't know the whole story.

As long as we are talking about the fake accent: did she always have that gap in her front teeth?

Yes. But she has some kind of dental appliance that she's used to cover it up. Sometimes she has the gap, and sometimes she covers it up.

Madonna's latest transformation means her days of shedding her clothes on stage or in front of the camera are also over. "I thought I was liberating mankind but, like I said, I wasn't really offering an alternative. "To a certain extent I was saying `Look, you know, why do men only get the job of objectifying women in a sexual way? I want to do it too.' "There was an element of that, but there was also an element of being an exhibitionist and saying `Look at me.' It wasn't that altruistic. I can admit that."

So you admit to acting in an irresponsible manner....just like saddam?

Madonna admits it. She is just like saddam.

Not that I'm trying to draw a parallel between the two, perish the thought /sarcasm

It is an Iraqi that was a victim of torture by Saddam's group during interrogation.

Here is the link of the site where I found it.http://members.cox.net/free_iraq/Free_Iraq.htm

Warning, it is very graphic.

It looks as though the moderator pulled the pic. Perhaps FR does not want us to be confronted with the reality of the horrors of Saddam either.

Oh the sheltered life we lead. Funny, I just got through watching the Chinese language news out of Hong Kong and they showed the images of the man just beheaded in Saudi Arabia (sorry, his name escapes me). Suppose FR would pull those also. I really don't understand this. How can Americans come to grips with the barbaric nature of our enemy if we don't see his barbarity?

And why does FR allow the images of that upside down woman with her breast spilling out? Think I will write to the moderator.

Good point. BTW, one amazing exchange was left out of this story, and it was also left out of the interview on "20/20," but ABC showed it the night before on "Prime Time." I believe it was Cynthia McFadden who did the interview, and she actually challenged Madonna by asking if she really thought we should just leave Iraq. Madonna said yes, just get the hell out immediately. McFadden asked if she still thought that, in light of most experts saying that if we just pulled out of Iraq, chaos would result, the nation would collapse, and it would become a hotbed of terrorism. Madonna shot back, "Yes! I just don't believe in settling conflicts that way."

I've heard some astounding idiocy dribble out of the mouths of celebrities over the years, but I think this one might just take the all-time prize.
