It is 8:15 p.m. now, local, in Iraq. Sunset in Baghdad slated for 8:16 p.m. (12:16 p.m. Eastern Time Monday). The poor South Korean captive in Iraq, Mr. Kim, may well meet a terrible fate at this moment. Please pray that these radical Islamist uncivilized animals are overwhelmed somehow by Divine Force, or hopefully; by US Marines or special forces (who would also be a divine force in this case).
Watching and waiting and hoping.......

I started praying the moment I heard about it. Foxnews showed the poor man yesterday - obviously scared and talking - probably begging for them to spare his life.
Please dear Lord. Let him be found on time.

Prayers for him.
Prayers for all those held by these animals. For all we know, they've all had videos made, and then been beheaded. And are waiting for the right time to toss one out there. Cheaper than caring and feeding them (if they do that).

I believe it has come down to this:
To all of those countries who support terrorism...
You have 72 hours to leave the country, anyone that disobeys the order will be considered a terrorist and will be beheaded and videotaped for the world to see.
Secondly, after the 72 hour time period has passed, it will be at the discretion of the United States to destroy all nuclear facilities or suspected nuclear facilities, destroy all chemical facilities or suspected chemical facilities. We will then continue to destroy all military installations or any installations that may be harboring militants.
These countries are first on our list:
Syria, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan and North Korea.
Nuclear weapons will be used if necassary.
HAVE A NICE DAY!

It will be very interesting to see how the South Koreans respond should this poor man meet his end. This generation of South Koreans have grown up in the shadow of the war and ongoing threat of communism.
My guess is this mans death will make them mad and they will be inclined to hit back.

Satanists is a very appropriate moniker for these creatures - because they sure are not human.

Having worked with the ROK Marines in Viet Nam in '69,
they are people you definitely do not want to mess with.
If the Iranians think they have problems now with America,
they can look forward to all manner of hell if they piss off the Koreans!!!

Dang... That picture along with what I've read reminds me of the incredibly vast differences among the terrorists and the rest of the world.
Here we have an educated young man, someone who can contribute to the world. His captors... maddrassa brainwashed animals bent on savagery. I wish we could all wake up to the fact that we are GOD's children and that in 2004 we should live like it. Athiests.. minimally we are all human beings, all sons and daughters, all neighbors...
I do pray for Mr. Kim Sun il, and his family. My cynical side tells me that the terrorists decided his fate the day they took him.

If he is killed, Al Jazeera is an accomplice in the murder. Without them airing the tape, there would be no incentive for the murder to be carried out. Al Jazeera allows these terrorists to get their messages out and virtually guarantees the deaths of these hostages.

How do people keep getting taken hostage. No way would they take me hostage now. They'd have to shoot me first. Why would somebody let themselves be taken hostage if they know their head is going to get cut off anyway. Why not die fighting.

God help this man!
It must be more than horrible, for this man, to contemplate what's going to be taking place, if he isn't rescued.
To: IamConservative
My guess is this mans death will make them mad and they will be inclined to hit back. I agree. I've been to South Korea twice, and my impression is that the Koreans are a very proud, patriotic, and determined people, unlike the spineless continental Europeans. If these animals are foolish enough to behead this poor soul, I think they will be making a mistake they'll seriously regret.

Dear Father, send Your strongest angels to guard this man and strike terror in the hearts and minds of his captors. Cause these cowards to flee from Mr. Kim, cause them to argue and fight amongst themselves. Clear a path to freedom for Mr. Kim, and lead him safely home. Thank You, Father!

"If these animals are foolish enough to behead this poor soul, I think they will be making a mistake they'll seriously regret." I believe that since this poor soul was kidnapped that the S. Korean gov't has indicated that they plan to increase their troop presence in Iraq. I would suggest to the US and the new Iraqi gov't that they put these troops to use in Fallujah. As I recall their reputation from the Korean War and elsewhere, the S. Koreans are kind of like the Turks---you DON'T want to piss them off.
