Your right. This election is important. We also have to keep in mind about appointing future federal judges. Our Surpreme Court judges are retiring. We don't need another liberal Democrat to put road blocks in way. Let's get Jack Ryan elected. Let's vote on the issues he supports.
What Jack Ryan did was stupied, but he didn't kill anybody like old Teddy. What happens between a married couple is their business. Their divorce is a private matter unless there was criminal behavior involved. Leaking out private divorce paper's is just getting real low...just like how they try to smear Arnold in CA. It takes two to tango and we don't know the whole story. Divorces can be messy and mean.
The architect finishes his prints, the developer gets signed commitments for the moey -- the money is released into a revolving account. The general constractor orders the material, it all arrives on site, in proper order. the foundation is laid, the GC and some lawyers acquire all permits and variances needed. That's all by AD 50 at the latest.
You see the the low-wage know-nothing workers arrive and work for a few weeks to complete the construction and call that the height of Empire. You see the low-wage garderners and day-laborers work for years puttering the yard, mowing the lawn and call that the long years of Empire.
I know better. You should.
Where did the western Roman Empire end? Where did the last of the Romans look out over the city walls into the darkening forests and swamps that surrounded them? Sort of Wagnerian, except it was dismal.

Besides the Constitution? "Public Records" are just that....Public. A divorce is a "public" event. I know, that makes many uncomfortable, but there it is.
With a few very limited exceptions, all court proceedings occur in the "public eye". All documents associated with a court proceeding are available to "We the People" for any purpose "We the People" deem fit....including plain old curiousity.
It has its occasional drawbacks, to be sure, as this case vividly demonstrates. But the alternative is "secret" court proceedings.
That thought scares me far more than the embarrassment factor.
