Angered Citizens Threaten Mosque in Seoul
Korea Times ^ | 06-23-04 | Na Jeong-ju

Police on Wednesday beefed up security around the Islam mosque in Seoul after some people, agitated by the death of the South Korean hostage Kim Sun-il on Tuesday in Iraq, made threats on Muslims.

Cho Min-haeng, an official of the Islam mosque in Hannam-dong in Seoul, said he received several phone calls from early in the morning from people threatening to set the mosque ablaze and kill believers of Islam.

``We are terrified to receive the threatening calls," Cho said. ``We are asking believers to stay home for a while and refrain from meeting people outside.

Police believe some angry citizens made the threat after watching the news of Kim's death, but it is not likely the threats will be realized.

Police stationed 15 officers at the main gate of the mosque to control the ins and outs and some 40 officers are patrolling around the mosque on shifts, according to police.

``I don't understand why Muslims should be targets of terror in Korea, said a Pakistani, who attended a dawn service at the mosque. ``Kim's death came as a shock and surprise for all believers of Islam in Seoul as well. We hope the Korean people know that we are also very sad about Kim's death.

A Korean group of Islamic followers issued a statement in the afternoon to prevent possible terror against Muslims.

``Korean people should know Islam has nothing to do with the death of Kim Sun-il. Muslim people don't commit such inhuman acts, the group said. ``We deeply regret Kim's death and offer condolences to his family.

My suggestion: Set up a SK Army recruiting station close by and direct them over to it.

It's just a matter of time until non-muslims exact revenge attacks.

Then media will begin to call it a "cycle of violence".

Notice how he did not actually condemn the killings, or
those who committed the murder?

"Korean people should know Islam has nothing to do with the death of Kim Sun-il. Muslim people don't commit such inhuman acts"

Tell it to the headless.

Not feeling any sympathy for the Muslims.

Wait a second....

Nope. False alarm. Still no sympathy.

Maybe after blowing up the mosque the Koreans can say "Islamic people should know that Korean people don't commit such inhuman acts. Must have been the Zoroastrians or the Quakers!"

Huh?

I guess the imam means "The Prophet made me do it" is not an excuse.

Of course, ten thousand other imams will say he is wrong.

I still don't understand what motivates an American or a South Korean or an Australian to convert to this joke of a "religion".

It has begun. Next stop America. I sure wouldn't want to be a Muslim in the near future.

ah yess...
man attempts to rape a woman.
woman tries to defend herself.

woman is trashed in the islamic world and the worldwide media for unnecessarily escalating the "cycle of violence."

the woman is then tried "islamic justice style," and convicted, and then buried to her shoulders in the ground, then her head is stoned, till she bleeds to death, then the "justice police" supverise the vaunted, "stomping of what's left of the head." ritual...

thus bringing about an end the unnecessarily escalation of the cycle of violence that this "woman" was apparently guilty of.

THESE MORONS MINDS ARE SO DARKENED BY THEIR HATRED of all that is right, they cannot see straight to report the truth.

morons being, islamists, and their willing accomplices in the press.

It's just a matter of time until non-muslims exact revenge attacks.

For some reason that only happens in India. (Which is odd, given that Hinduism is theologically more pacifist than most religions.) Perhaps because that country has a longer history of Muslim/non-Muslim contact than just about any other country. Or perhaps because Muslims are a large enought minority in India that their hotheads are willing to cause trouble, but not a large enough minority to win in any conflict or to intimidate the non-Muslims.

""We are terrified to receive the threatening calls," Cho said."

Try having your STINKING HEAD CHOPPED OFF by a bunch of JIHADIST TERRORISTS after being allowed to BEG FOR YOUR LIFE, and see how terrifying that is, you tunnel-visioned idiot. I happen to know that NO non-Muslim would ever make threatening phone calls, so you must have just misheard them.

Sorry about that. I snapped.

Koreans can get pretty feisty. Remember the olympics in Korea where they lost a boxing match they expected to win. They went Ape-shite'. This could get interesting.

there is very little that the SK military could realistically do as a measure of "revenge" against these killers. to be honest, letting the SK citizens ransack this mosque would have been the best result here. the muslim community doesn't have any fear in it, their followers conduct terrorism all over the world, they make only modest "lip service" condemnation (if at all), and no one says a word.

...and Bill Clinton is an honest man...

Baloney. Just saying a thing does not make it so. These folks need to read the Koran for a nice clear understanding of these beheadings. It is a VERY muslim thing to do.
