I did that. I just want to be sure that three particular soldiers (two soldiers and one Marine) receive the Ice Makers. I filled out the request forms etc. and I will buy the three Ice Makers...but how can I be sure that the soldiers will receive them? I also sent Frankie an email. Is there anything else I can do?

All of which the Army should readily supply, but doesn't.

SHIPPING UPDATE

The 74 ACs we sent landed in Iraq on 30 April 2004. The picture below is a soldier in front of the truck where the 20 ACs were received for the 67th Combat Support Hospital in Tikrit.

We sent 175 of those to soldiers whos names were given when you bought their ACs. All of the ACs with soldier's names on them went to Iraq via DHL and will be delivered to your soldier or marine soon. This is the last shipment that we can send to a specific soldier. We now send to the entire unit, so please sign up your soldier and tell them to let their chain of command know about Operation Air Conditioner! We get the word out there, but nothing like the word coming upward from the chain of command. NCOs can really get things done!

I also have 175 ACs for a general donation for the US Marines in Iraq. They arrived at Al Asad Air Base and were received on July 4, 2004. I got an email confirmation from the Gunny Sergeant that they were delivered just fine.

We are raising money to buy the transformers for each of th ACs for the troops who need the step-down transformers (product is THD-1000D). They are $35.00 each. We have to buy them in bulk from a vendor. I am trying to find a way to have them purchased through the Delaware Home Depot.

I've made contact with Army and Marine units in Afghanistan who would like to benefit from Operation Air Conditioner so I am asking for your help in raising money for the shipping costs.

During the 2 weeks after I was on with Tom Sullivan on the Rush Limbaugh radio program, we sent out 2,600 air conditioners bringing our total sent out to 5,609.

We have all of the Ice Machines for the K9 unit! Thank you so much for your support for them! I'm waiting on pictures from them when they get their ice machines operational so that we can see some really cool dogs and their MP soldier handlers!

I've got a pallet (100 cases) of powdered Gatoraide leaving for a unit in Baghdad next Monday, July 12th. We have 400 more Air Conditioners leaving for the US Marines the week of the 12th. We have ice machines going to the Combat Support Hospitals, we have 220 converters going to our K9 units in Iraq.

We will continue to send bulk ACs to Iraq by Air Freight in the coming weeks.

We have a big boot order coming in so that we can have volunteers label and help package the boots up on July 25th at Mike's Famous Harley Davidson Dealership in New Castle, Delaware. Those boots will go out in the mail on Monday, July 26th.

Thanks to you, we are going strong and please keep supporting our troops! They need us!

I need to send them some more money, too. Thanks for the bump.

What the hell do we pay taxes for?

Yup, the government should definitely make better use of our taxes. Stop funding repugnant "art." Stop sending money to Arafat and his merry band of killers. Stop a lot of stuff and help our military men and women. The thought of our military personnel not being able to get BOOTS is staggering and infuriating.

But, you know what? First, the changes aren't gonna happen. Our elected leaders and the countless bureaucrats are gonna keep right on doing what they're doing. And even if these things should happen to change, it'll take years. The people pounding the sand need boots now. Sometimes you say "to hell with the politics of it" and do what needs to be done.
