Howard Stern had Moore on his show this morning and was promoting the piece.

NBC probably ran that report as a caution to the DNC.

The caution being, "Mr. McAuliffe, of course we'll be happy to carry your boy's water for him, but you can't be quite so blatant about it."

Howard Stern is a loser, IMO.

from the link in post 106:

Michael Moore has released the cinematic equivalent of a French kiss to all who hate America. He is the leading exponent of HATRIOTISM.

"HATE-RIOTISM" describes the new breeze blowing through the American media. It is now "cool" and "relevant" to mock everything for which our soldiers are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. Criticizing democracy and America has long been in vogue in continental Europe, from those who look with disdain at American "naiveté," while still lamenting the Islamic onslaught. Now imported to our shores, hatriotism is the simplest way to get the growing contingent of professional protestors who populate television audiences to cheer. Mock America. Mock our involvement in Iraq. Mock President Bush…and get rousing applause.

That describes quite a number of people on the liberal side. They are very easy to identify.

the Democrats weren't quite as looney back then as they are now

I would expect not. They controlled Congress basically uninterrupted for 40 years and supposedly had a reasonable platform. Not conservative, but reasonable. Today's Democrat party is composed of washed-up hippies, communists, overboard environmentalists, and elitists. They have taken a hard turn to the left.

Of course, when liberals are disagreed with, they become petty, bitter, and angry. They lost in 2000, and showed their true colors. They lost even more in 2002, and now they're desperate. If they lose again in 2004, they'll go absolutely nuts since they think they're the only ones fit to govern and anyone in dissent is to be ridiculed, ignored, and dismissed--a very communist trait. They don't judge people on the content of their character, rather they seek to demonize and shred people who oppose them since facts are often a liberal's worst enemy and when you can't fight back with facts or legitimate criticisms, you attack.

The more the left is confronted, the more crazed they will get, and the more crazed they get, the less people will want to associate with them.

That's likely it. Moore shows the true, pure, vitriolic side of the left and somebody wants it to be concealed so they look more palatable to the electorate.

Have you seen the "Coalition of the Wild-Eyed" on the Bush campaign website? I think you and I are on the same sheet of music.

i saw the same thing a "truth squad" on ABC. An early afternoon Fox story-interview with Moore stuck him like a whale.

MSNBC last nite was pushing the viewpoint "Freedom of speech" and had a reviewer from the Christian Science Monitor saying everyone should go see it and then make up their own mind.

I try never listen to MSNBC except for Joe Scarborough.

your posts remind me of something Rush hit upon years back and it's perpetually true - liberals get the most whacky when they're out of power. First it was the anti-war fever in the 60's and early 70's Nixon was president and the left went nuts. they mellowed during the era of Jimmy Carter. then Reagan came along and drove them totally bonkers. during Clinton they went haywire in the other direction and lost Congress and that sent them in the direction of the loony bin, only pausing from time to time, like after 9/11, when they held their breath during the major battles in Afghanistan, while reaching crazed psychotic hate pitch with the election of 2000 and, since, the furthered war on terror (to include Iraq).

Absolutely. They're the type of people who feel they have a birthright to govern, and when they're not, well...

They will continue this hate pitch until they regain power (and probably afterwards), which I hope doesn't come for quite some time. They have no ideas and many of them don't legitimately care for the interests of others (they have federal social programs as cover). Liberals are looking out for themselves. It's all about power.

Except this time, if a lefty like Kerry wins, I don't see any type of mellowing. They're committed to the loony side of things now, and it will only get worse.

I have a question or two ....If the Bush family was given 1.4 Billion$ as MM contends where is it? in a secret room in the Bush mansion?
As to Bush being friendly with the Saudies ...the House ofSaud is right now in danger of loosing its power, how does MM account for that? (I will also see the movie...so I can legitimately bash it)
