Last night I snuck in to F911 (didn't want to give Moore $10) (and all I got was this lousy ZOT!!!)

Thought half of it was BS -- vague implications with no follow through. But the stuff about corporate links to the war, the Afgan pipeline, connections with the Saudis really caught me off guard. I got home and searched for info to debunk everything and only found info that supported Moore's claims. Also, I live in NYC and the "keep them afraid and people will do anything" hit a bit too close to home. Anyone else see it? Anyone else have questions and doubts? I'm not some DUer planting seeds, I'm just wondering how others are incorporating some of F911's info into their beliefs.

Hmmm, I've been reading here (with what - 3 posts?) for several months now, and STILL don't know what DU stands for (around our house, it means Ducks Unlimited....) so it *does* strike me as odd that someone new would immediately claim to NOT be from DU.

You nailed it for 25 years I've only thought one think when I heard DU, and only a political junkie would know about any other meaning it might have ( I won't write the other because it smears the real DU "Ducks Unlimited")

Free trade is our default normal relationship with any country in the world. If things later go sour and we find ourselves at war, this does not mean that there was something wrong with the previous condition of open trade. Liberals keep moving the goalposts to claim that, whenever we get into a conflict, that our previous free trade with that country represents some sort of conspiracy. Befoer we were at war with Saddam, Iraq was a client state of the Soviet Union. We traded with it in hopes of prying Iraq loose from ths relationship. But under the new liberal-defined rules, "Reagan traded with Iraq" is held to be evidence that we were responsible for the dictatorship.

There is nothing new about this, either. The bombs that fell on Pearl Harbor had, a year earlier, been American scrap iron.

You might have been more effective had you been more original. This hackneyed "man on the street" type "testimony", this "I'm just some guy with no hidden agenda, and now I've suddenly seen the light" thing has been utlized on both the left and the right for many years.

There was an interview last night on cnn (aaron brown) with a guy (some writer) from NY that said he saw the film and hated it even though he said he shouldn't have hated it since he was not a Bush supporter. He said it was so over the top and seething that he came out wanting to defend Bush. Greenfield was questioning him too and he kept coming back saying Moore found no fault with Bin Laden and that Moore blames everything on Bush instead of our enemy. After hearing this interview I'm not worried in the least about the movie and I think it may very well backfire on Moore and the DNC.

Michael Moore is a leftwing propagandist and you are one of his drones. His hatred for the Bush family and the political right is well known. Moore is trying to undermine the war effort and influence the election. I saw "Roger and Me" many years back. Moore's habit of making off the wall links are part of the bag of tricks he employs throughout these homemovies he calls documentaries. Moore uses supposition, conjecture and innuendo to express his warped sense of reality, while he constantly oversteps the bounds of editorial license. Bottomline, Moore is intellectually dishonesty, aka. Moore is a "liar".
