Liberal group says Catholic vote split

A liberal U.S. Catholic group says a poll scheduled for release in mid-July shows Catholics are split down the middle on the upcoming presidential election.

Catholics for A Free Choice, the group that commissioned the poll, said the survey will show support for President George W. Bush and Sen. John F. Kerry split at 40 each among the 2,239 U.S. Catholics surveyed.

The group said that data also shows the level of confidence in the president's ability to manage the war in Iraq is the best predictor of how Catholics will vote in November.

More than two-thirds of respondents, 39 percent, said they attend religious services one or more times a week while 14 percent attend at least once a month. Almost half, 47 percent, said they attend religious services a few times each year or not at all.

The complete poll, conducted June 2-10 by the Washington-based polling firm Belden Russonello and Stewart, has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.1 percent and is scheduled for release on July 13. Catholics for a Free Choice was originally formed to advocate in favor of legalized abortion in the United States.

Portrayed by a Satanic group masquerading as Catholics as good news for JF Kerry, this is actually really bad news. Catholics used to vote HEAVILY for Dems, and very heavily for Dem Catholics.

Liberal group says Catholic vote split

Yeah, between the Catholics who are Catholics and the Catholics who are in denial about their Protestant status. Heck, it gives me the heebie-jeebies to call them Protestants, 'cause I'm a real protestant and I DON'T WANT 'EM!!

A generation has been lost as potential Democrat voters, who have never been born.

More than that, and not computed into the mix, is the second generation that will NOT be available. Abortion is Darwinian "survival of the fittest" at its most ruthless, in that it has been a conscious decision in every instance.

The world does not allow vacuums to exist for long. Into this vacant space left by the absence of one natural-born citizen, an immigrant, whether legal or by unconventional access, comes in to fill that void. Certain genetic pools are diminished, others become much more represented. Indirectly a number of different attitudes are encouraged and a different mix of political consensus arises.

We do not yet know what the brood is that has been brought forth, if it be dragons or angels.

I was so proud of President Bush during his recent visit with Pope John Paul II.

Kerry is a deviant and wicked person. He supports partial birth abortion. How does he and Kennedy sleep at night? They are evil.

Almost half, 47 percent, said they attend religious services a few times each year or not at all.

That would explain the Kerry supporters.

The last I saw, minorities have a disproportionate number of abortions. Is there any truth Planned Parenthood was founded to lead minorities to abortion and whites to adoption?

Protestants, 'cause I'm a real protestant and I DON'T WANT 'EM!!

They're bad Catholics and bad Protestants and, most likely, bad Americans. Who wants the liberal modernist scumbags? And many of them are clergy, from bishops right down to the DEACONATE! (shudder)

Margaret Sanger was a "eugenicist" who wanted to reduce the numbers of "inferior races." I believe I read she enlisted -- or at least tried to enlist -- black ministers to her cause to convince their people to practice birth control (she thought "light-skinned" black ministers would be amenable to her cause). From the article here:

The founders of the movement were in fact racists who despised the poor and who were searching for a way to prevent colored races from reproducing. Rather than defending the rights of the poorest of the poor, which is the tradition of liberalism, the founders advocated abortion as a means of eliminating the poor; especially Blacks, Jews, Slavs, and Italians.

Last time I checked 39 % was not two thirds. Bad math, from bad pollsters, for a politically motivated poll, and the best they can do is still a split.

That isn't correct. If you consider "catholics" who didn't attend mass at all, Gore barely won the Catholic vote by a couple percent, not by 30% as your number indicates.
