An Iraqi police officer kisses his nation's flag after graduating on the first day of Iraq (news - web sites)'s new sovereignty, at a police academy in the southern city of Basra June 29, 2004. The United States handed over sovereignty to an interim Iraqi government on Monday, formally ending a 14-month occupation two days earlier than expected to try to forestall guerrilla attacks. About 60 police officers graduated from the British-run training facility and their celebrations turned to that of their country's new sovereignty. REUTERS/Atef Hassan

I agree that it will get worse before it gets better, but we didn't start the fire.

I'm just glad that the New Iraqi Government will be allowed to handle this. They can take the best obvious measures while we have to play legal games.

Look at the Peterson case out here in California. Everyone knows the guy did it; but the law allows for all kinds of "Mother May I" games to be played.

...but that's another issue....

Everything must go! Due to unforseen illness in the family, Bob's Carpets is liquidating all assets. Final weekend is now! Prices slashed to the bone! Remnants, room-to-room and swatches, all must be gone this Sunday! Come in for best deal, now!

LOL. Reminds me of a bar in San Diego I visited in the early 1970's on the same night the bar was having its "5th Annual Going Out Of Business Sale".

I betcha these guys will be spoliing their underwear when they are really turned over to the Iraqis in the future. I would not be surpised there will not be some kind of torture involved. The American guards said Saddam did admit his biggest fear was being turned over the the Iraqis.

Especially the guards that come into Saddam's cell at night asking where his Shite family members are.

Justice can never be served; but this is the next best thing.

Justice implies that the victim deserved what he got just as the villan deserves it. It can't happen.

This will have to do.
