The website www.pleasevote.com is a call to vote the Bush administration out of office. The sculptor Richard Serra contributed the illustration based on Goya's "Saturn Devouring one of his Children" that appears on the site's home page. The image will also appear on the back cover of The Nation magazine, issue date July 5, 2004.
This is The Nation after all. The magazine that employs Katrina VanDenShovel.
It's just lame.
Omigod! To think I once subscribed to that vile rag. I let my subscription go when I got tired of my weekly collection of liberal shibboleths. No leftist conspiracy theory was too stupid for them to publish. But they were never this horrible back then (mid/late 1990s).
I don't think we can even imagine the depths to which they can sink. As November gets closer and Bush's poll numbers go up their level of depravity will really grow. Hatred such as this cannot and will not be turned into votes for Kerry. Oddly, this kind of hysteria will probably increase the votes for Bush.
Agreed.
How disgusting... nevermind the democrats like to have fetuses for breakfast.
The primary is over, Kerry has a desperate need to appear moderate, and then his supporters go and do things like this. I'll bet his team has already asked the Nation not to run the ad.
[mattdono shakes head] I just don't even know what to say to this kind of hate.

They have always been vile.

The minds that think this "garbage" up! It is a very sad day for our Founding Fathers and their desire to create free exchange of ideas by the First Amendment.
I may have old values; however, wouldn't at one time this be considered porn?
Freaks!
Freaks!
What do you think will happen if a conservative magazine prints a picture of Hillary as a vampire eating her young?
As classical Rome demonstrated, faction is the fatal disease of republics.
The Democrats have become such a faction - to whom the defeat of their domestic rivals is more important than the survival of the country.
.
Lame would be a step up for Serra.
Someone else, whose name escapes me, recently put Sharon in that painting.
Eating Sharon Cartoon Draws Fire
The Israeli Embassy in London has sent a strongly worded letter of protest to The Independent, following an editorial cartoon yesterday by Dave Brown, depicting Prime Minister Ariel Sharon biting the flesh of a Palestinian baby.
In the cartoon, Sharon says: "What's wrong? Have you never seen a politician kissing a baby?" The background shows Apache attack helicopters sending missiles from the cockpit with the message "Vote Likud."
I long for the good old days when newspapers and broadcasters openly admitted where they stood, and you could get a balanced view by reading both sides.
One of Chrissie Matthews favorite guests.
When it comes time to pull a lever, the people are going to have to choose between President Bush, who is a good and decent man, and John F'n Kerry, who is supported by this bunch of hateful freaks, and is an unknown who will be judged by the company he keeps.
I'm thinkin' landslide, here. The biggest Democratic debacle since McGovern. They hated Nixon too, but that did not help them at the ballot box.
Bush should use it like he did the Move on Nazi clip.......This shows that the oppostion is nuts
I say go for it. They are talking to themselves, and scaring middle America.
And, they are going to whine that Bush's camp uses an appropriate picture on his ads.

This was just the latest in the centuries-old "blood libel" against Jews -- accusations that they drain and drink the blood from children. The Inquisition, the Nazis, the Palestinians, and others have all used it.

While Googling for the above images, I also ran across this little number -- an Arabic version of Mein Kampf:
