While I condemn what happened, I'd like to remind Mr. Buckley that his own party prevented our fine men and women in the military from having their votes counted in Florida in 2000. It was, also, an organized effort.
It's really easy to configure the average modem (with Caller ID Blocking enabled, of course) for war dialing. VoIP offers a lot of fun ideas as well. Since war dialing is illegal under most state laws it would be wise not to war dial numbers within your own state. Not that I'd actually encourage anyone to really do such a thing to Democrats or other libs.
Does this mean it's illegal to tape several pieces of black paper into a loop and put them on the fax machine?
