Israel Warns Of Iranian (Nuclear) Threat
CBS ^ | July 3, 2004 | AP

Posted on 07/03/2004 7:30:46 PM PDT by FairOpinion

WASHINGTON (AP) Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom told the White House on Friday that Iran was trying to develop longer-range missiles that could pose a threat to European nations.

Shalom took his concerns to Condoleezza Rice, the president's national security adviser, and then told reporters: "We cannot allow the Iranians to move forward in their efforts to develop nuclear weapons."

Israel's long-held concern that it could be targeted was registered again by Shalom. "The Iranians still continue to do everything they can in order to develop nuclear weapons that might, of course, be used against Israel," he said.

Shalom also said Iran was involved in terror attacks, saying, "They are trying to recruit more volunteers to carry out suicide attacks against Israelis and against Western countries."

Another case for pre-emption, instead of waiting until it's too late and some country (Israel) or US city is wiped off the face of the earth.

Some people -- who worry about terrorists rights, think we should just be sitting ducks, and leave it to the UN, etc. -- just don't get it.

I hope I wake up one fine morning to find that the Israelis bombed and obliterated the nuclear facitilies of Iran and Syria.

If it hadn't been for the Israelis bombing Saddam's nuclear facities back in the 80-s, Saddam would have had fully operational nukes long ago, and we wouldn't be looking for the WMD, because we may have found it in NY or LA or Washington DC.

"We cannot allow the Iranians to move forward in their efforts to develop nuclear weapons."

That says it about as clearly as it can be said. Now the question is "When?"

I'd day soon, sometime after November.

The UN is already on Israel's case, while winking at Iran and N. Korea.

Israel's presumed nukes to become issue
Saturday, July 3, 2004

VIENNA, Austria -- Focusing on Israel's open secret, the head of the U.N. atomic watchdog agency is expected to push the Jewish state this week for at least tacit acknowledgment that it has nuclear weapons or the means to make them.

Israeli policy is to neither confirm nor deny it has such arms, and the International Atomic Energy Agency will not comment on how hard IAEA head Mohamed ElBaradei will press officials during his two-day visit starting Tuesday.

But IAEA spokesman Mark Gwozdecky says ElBaradei "certainly will voice ... the need for dialogue in the region particularly on security and nuclear issues."

And a prudent question as to why they are promoting such an aggressive agenda toward Israel and not Iran or North Korea should lead most to ponder the question as to "why"?

Y'all can say what you like but I for one think this was a plan way before 9/11. Gore was ready to come out and congradulate W on his win in 2000 but at the last minute he got a phone call, he was told to fight it out to the end. We had boots on the ground in Afghanistan before 9/11, who was we looking for? GW made a statement before inauguration that if evil doers thought that now was a time to strike, they are sadly mistaken. Clinton knew we had a problem, he just didn't have the balls to do anything or he was preasured into standing down. Now put on the tinfoil and wrap it tight, there is an evil force at work , working overtime to destroy this country. It is being fueled by another state, now who could that be. Saudi Arabia, China, Russia, none or all the above ????? Someone out there wants the USA not to be the superpower that it is, any ideas anyone???

China and Iran Test-Fire Missiles
Charles R. Smith

Against the backdrop of impending military action by the United States against Iraq, China and Iran have recently conducted tests of their own ballistic missile forces.

On Aug. 28, following Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage's visit to Beijing, the People's Liberation Army 2nd Artillery Corps conducted a successful flight test of its Dong Feng (East Wind) 4 missile from a launch site in southern China.

The two-stage Dong Feng 4 limited-range missile was designed initially to hit the U.S. air base at Guam and later modified to increase its range to be able to strike Moscow. The large liquid-fueled missile is armed with an H-bomb warhead equal to 3 million tons of TNT and has a range of over 4,000 miles.

China is estimated to have approximately 20 of the powerful ICBMs, which are capable of striking U.S. military assets in the Asia-Pacific theater, as well as targets in Russia and Europe.

Most of the Dong Feng 4 missiles are stored in tunnels under high mountains, and are launched immediately outside the mouth of the tunnel. The missiles must be moved into the open and fueled prior to firing, an operation dubbed "chu men fang pao" or "shooting a firecracker outside the front door."

PRC Missile Diplomacy

The Chinese missile test was considered by Western intelligence sources to be a signal by Beijing that it will continue to develop, deploy and export missile technology despite a new agreement with the Bush administration on weapons proliferation.

According to a recent report by the U.S.-China Security Review Commission, China is a leading exporter of missile technology. According to the report, Chinese proliferation of weapons, "particularly in the Middle East and Asia," poses a serious threat to the security of the United States.

"China fails to control the export of dual-use items that contribute to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems," noted the commission's report, which was published in August.

"China is a leading international source of missile-related technologies," states the report. The report also noted that China has reneged on previous promises and continues to export missile technology to Libya, Iran and Syria.

State Department Denies Visas to Chinese Space Experts

In a move seen as a response to Beijing's missile diplomacy, the U.S. State Department has decided to deny visas to about 20 Chinese space experts invited to attend the World Space Conference in Houston this fall. Over 6,000 scientists, engineers and policy-makers are expected to show up for the space conference scheduled to start in October.

The State Department flagged several members of the Chinese delegation due to "technology-transfer concerns." The word inside Capitol Hill is that the attendees were actually high-ranking military officers from the Chinese Army 2nd Artillery Corps.

North Korea and Iranian Missiles

Meanwhile, Iran also carried out an unsuccessful test of its Shahab-3 missile. The failed test flight from northern Iran occurred late last month. The Shahab missile test reflects ongoing Iranian development of the medium-range rocket, which can strike Israel, Turkey and parts of India.

The Shahab missile is reported to be a derivative of the North Korean No Dong missile. U.S. intelligence sources have accused North Korea of working with Iran for several years to develop the Shahab system.

In a recent speech in South Korea, Under Secretary of State John Bolton labeled Pyongyang "the world's foremost peddler of ballistic missile-related equipment, components, materials, and technical expertise" and a top exporter of missiles to "notable rogue state clients such as Syria, Libya and Iran."

According to Bolton, North Korea's connections with Iran and Iraq, the other countries labeled by President Bush as constituting the "axis of evil," are reason enough to continue sanctions against Pyongyang.

"There is a hard connection between these regimes – an axis along which flow dangerous weapons and dangerous technology," stated Bolton.

Another sign of war in the Middle East comes from Israel. Israel has moved to defend critical targets in case of attack from Iran or Iraq. The Israeli air force has deployed units of U.S.-made Patriot anti-ballistic missiles close to the Dimona nuclear reactor in the south of the country. The Patriots are expected to assist a unit of Arrow anti-ballistic missiles already deployed in southern Israel in the event of retaliatory missile strikes from Baghdad.

U.S. Tomahawk Armed With Directed-Energy Warhead

An additional indication that war with Iraq is in the near future comes with reports that the U.S. Navy is deploying Tomahawk cruise missiles armed with newly developed "directed energy" warheads. Several Navy warships in the Gulf region are armed with the new Tomahawk missiles.

According to U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. John P. Jumper, the strategy to use the new missiles is "in the works."

"You have to coordinate the effects, no matter what forms they take," noted Gen. Jumper. The new Tomahawk missiles are said to be equipped with warheads that produce high-power microwaves. The directed-energy warheads are intended to scramble military computers and destroy sensitive electronics. The most likely targets for the new warheads are Iraq's Chinese-made air defense system and Iraqi chemical storage facilities

But China is enjoying the greatest economic surge in its history because of the US. Let's start with the UN and the third world countries that sit or lead some of its agendas. You see, these small countries by themselves are not a threat, but when given the opportunity to congregate in one place and conspire against the very country that host them, they can get a plan of action together. Imagine the daily dealings that go on between countries in that office building in NY. IMHO the UN is nothing more than a hideout for a band of criminals conspiring to rape and pillage the Free world.

Iran's Spoiling Attack
April 20, 2004
by Trent Telenko at April 20, 2004 03:23 AM

http://windsofchange.net/archives/004885.php

"The Stakes

More than Iraq is at stake here there are other players, notably Israel.

Iran's mullahs are developing nuclear weapons, which they view as a magic shield against America and a sword to destroy the Jewish state. They have made overt threats to nuke Israel as soon as they have nuclear weapons, and said they believe Iran would survive any exchange of nukes with Israel. The mullahs do not at all understand that their inflammatory rhetoric intended for domestic political effect has a whole new meaning for other countries when backed up with nuclear weapons.

This brings up the following question:

Does anyone doubt for a moment that Israel will, absolutely, positively WILL preemptively destroy Iranian nuclear facilities, with nukes if necessary, to prevent another holocaust?

Since Iran has taken steps to see that an Israeli conventional air attack, such as that against Osirak, Iraq http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/iraq/facility/osiraq.htm can't work, Israel must use nuclear ground bursts, producing highly radioactive short term fallout, against Iran's hardened nuclear facilities.

But it won't be just against those. The remorseless logic of nuclear conflict with an irrational opponent will force Israel to eliminate Iran as a strategic threat for the long term. That entails hitting more targets than just those currently known to be working on Iranian nuclear weapons.

A Democratic President would create this worst of all possible worlds, where pre-emptive nuclear attack is used as a tool of state policy. It is not a world we want to live in."

It sounds like the dominos are being lined up and ready to fall. This is World War Three. It started with Afghanistan, is now working its way through the Middle East, and will most likely conclude with North Korea and some sort of confrontation with China.

Looks like you have a tinfoil hat twice as big as mine. ;)

While we are in "tinfoil-land", and you mentioned that Gore got a phone call and "was told to fight", there is a domestic enemy -- or the enemy infiltrated domestic politics as well. Why did you leave off Saddam/Iraq from your list? With all the billions skimmed off the oil for food program -- seems quite a few nations and individuals were beneficiaries of that. Or France -- at least as a front for some others?

I actually could buy into some theory, that there is a great deal behind the scenes, and maybe that's why Bush can't reveal many things, which would show what serious danger we were really in, before we invaded Iraq.

I think that electing Bush did throw a major monkey wrench into someone's plans -- and it wasn't just Al Gore wanting to play president.

Problem: The Arabs can't aim very well. That's why no Arab country has won a war in over one hundred years.

So, the nuke intended for Israel, instead lands on Mecca,,,

drawing a line, through the axis of evil Iran, to Korea (now that Iraq is moving the right direction), the very heart and center of that axis goes RIGHT through CHINA...

the unannounced puppet master, in this proxy war against the USA. China has been backing ALL who hate the USA, while taking our money to build up their forces to eventually use against our allies in the region. S. Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Austrailia and others.

We at the same time defending against their sock puppet partners, are seeking to undermine China's communist leadership via free trade. A one-sided free trade if I must say so.

Will our enemies bleed us to death financially in military excursions like afghanistan and iraq, or will we subvert the commies by infecting them with varying degrees of dissention within their own population?

God knows THEIR sympathizers living amongst us as "democrat" citizens and representatives.... are acting against us via every means available. Where are OUR compatriots in THEIR country? Are we doing enough to topple the remaining communist wannabe super power?

China is evil.
