Cussing's no stranger to the Bush White House
U.S. News- Washington Whispers ^ | 07/12/04 | Paul Bedard

Posted on 07/05/2004 12:42:57 PM PDT by Pokey78

Vice President Dick Cheney doesn't own the market on swearwords like the F-bomb he dropped on Vermont Democrat Patrick Leahy. Turns out President Bush has quite the mouth, following in a rich tradition of cussing presidents. "He uses the 'F' word as an adjective, a verb, and a noun," says one adviser. Ditto for the "S" word. But not often in anger. "It's more conversational," adds the insider, "like how guys talk." In a White House that prides itself on self-control, Bush doesn't swear much in the Oval Office and never in front of his wife or new acquaintances. "It's less in the Oval than other places. The more relaxed he gets, the more he uses it," another associate says. A Clinton-Gore aide says Bubba and his veep did the same. "They were very mindful of where they were," says the aide. Like past presidents, Bush is unapologetic about his cussing. In fact, when Democrats called on Cheney to apologize to Leahy, whom he crudely put down last month, it was Bush who blocked him. "Bush said, 'You said it, so don't back away from it,' " an associate says

There was a magazine a while back called, I think, "Talk". Back in 2000 or 1999 they had an interview with then Texas Governor Bush and in the the interview he used the s word which means excrement.

It was one of the first things I'd seen about him and it did not leave a good impression.

Since then, of course, President Bush has shown a lot and merited great respect.

I often wondered if his use of foul language in that interview was real or false.

From the article: "A Clinton-Gore aide says Bubba and his veep did the same."

Which says alot.

If president truly uses this language in this manner, he has serious issues.

Has it ever been suggested you direct a quantity of renal output, in a vertical trajectory, in close proximity to a lengthy segment of woven hemp?

In that region of the country many don't consider that word to be bad, and it rarely was used to refer to excretement.

It is a term of endearment "Ain't he a cute little s...". It is used as a term of amazement s......t!(must be drawn out). And it is used as a term to represent an accumulation of something "All that s..."

In Oklahoma I had high school teachers that used the word all the time, even ministers and doctors would use the term.

Funny how the use of such a word in a private affair among half a dozen colleagues offends the liberal media so but they have no problem with their Democrat darlings who lie, cheat, and steal to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars.

Why should we believe anything that builds a story around "unnamed sources". If they are not willing to have their name in print, then I choose not to give five minutes of my time to read it. Actually, I think the Bush administration should find out who it is and fire their butts! These are serious times for this nation. We are at war for our very lives.....and these busybodies are trying to find out if the President said a "dirty word"???? Puleeeeeeez!!!
While I am griping....another thing I am sick of is seeing Kerry in a different "gitup" (as they say in Texas), trying to prove he is everything to everyone; "Doctor, lawyer, merchant, chief....bicyclist, skier, tennis player,
yachter,......and now, farmer. This guy is unreal!

"says one adviser"

Which one?

"adds the insider"

Cat got your tongue?

another associate says"

They just can't keep their mouths shut, can they?

A Clinton-Gore aide says

Which one? Surely he isn't afraid to speak now, is he?

an associate says

The reliable and unnamed sources are coming out of the woodwork!

You beat me to it. I looked this thing over and over, and what do you know, not one single name.

Makes you wonder if the whole thing wasn't just made up (I think it was).

As I walk around, I hear people who swear "coversationally" without regard to children or women being around. I detest it. It is one of the marks of our deteriorating society. There are occasions I swear--usually privately and never in front of my children. When I do swear in front of another person, then it is usually an indication of how strong my feelings are on a matter--and it is an emotional issue. Those who know me are certain as to how strong my opinion is. It is equally as rare when I swear for humorous purposes.

I still have a difficult time believing this president swears as often as this report makes it sound. I am heartened that GWB doesn't feel the need to speak crudely in public to assert his machisimo.
