And what happens is that the Democrats get the major headlines.
Then, some time later, when the truth comes out and the administration was right all along, it barely gets the news.
Then I send leftist friends the article bolstering the Bush administration and they don't believe it because they've been brainwashed by the "Bush lied" mantra for so long.

My sister still believes even as recent as yesterday that the Iraq War was started on the notion of oil. She's not a Democrat, but she has been brainwashed by the Democrats. I even went so far as to explain to her that Halliburton is not simply just an "big oil company". After my attempts to shine the light of truth on her, she said I was crazy. Ah well, I tried.

It seems that they [the senate] got it's feathers in a ruffle after their meeting w/ HLS about the 'new' threat.
The dems now want to ram through funding for first responders.....(not that it shouldn't be passed but, this timing seems odd)
