Good... sheesh... let him go. If he is to testify during the state's case, then the state has to call him as a witness. They've called other witnesses lately.

If Geragos wants him back on the stand so he can vilify him, then seems to me Geragos must wait his turn, and call Brocchini then. Let's see, how would he open the questioning...

"Det. Brocchini, you're back here to spin some more lies, frame the defendant some more, and make a mockery out of the justice system, right?"

(To which Brocchini might well reply, "No, I thought you already had all that covered.")

I guess MG was not granted his mistrial. No admonitions were made this AM either. Maybe the Pros. let Judge and MG know that they had notes to back up the Detective's comments? Or maybe they will finish up with the witness on stand before calling him back? I guess we'll see as the day goes on....
