Same where we live. There is no way any home would catch fire, as there were whole lot of people that would put it out *immediately*.

I would think it would be safer to have fireworks legal and people hanging around in case something does go wrong instead of them illegal and people running away from the area/cops after they shoot them off.

Plus I find it very hard to believe it's that easy to set a house on fire accidently with fireworks.

Private neighborhood displays after the BBQ is Americana as it gets.

Yes it is, But unfortunately not only are the nannies going after the fireworks, They also have their sites on banning the BBQ (Link Here and Here)
