Bush Stops For Refreshment, Provides Great Photo Op

RALEIGH, N.C. -- President George W. Bush made an unscheduled stop Wednesday on his way back to the airport after attending a fundraiser in Raleigh.

A lemonade stand and two little girls brought the motorcade to a halt.

It was a perfect photo opportunity for Bush -- stopping to buy lemonade on a sizzling summer afternoon and giving two young entrepreneurs a day they never will forget...

I agree.............check out the video clip!

No matter how hard he tries, Kerry can never be REAL like our President is.

The little girl in front with her mouth wide open is darling.

That is exactly what I would be doing, or I would be squealing with delight!
I just love this President.

Thank you for posting the link to the video. My PC wouldn't load the page far enough down to get to it. Maybe too many folks were logging onto the site when I attempted it.

BTW Congressman Richard Burr is running for the Senate and will be getting my vote.

We are so fortunate out here to have King County Sheriff Dave Reichert running for Jennifer Dunn's 8th Congressional District seat in the House, as a pubbie. He's the guy who worked on the Green River Murderer case for so long, as a detective, and then was elected and serving as Sheriff when new forensics enabled them to catch Gary Ridgeway. He was named 2004's National Sheriff of the year. I tell you, Reichert suffered as each new body or group of bodies was discovered over a period of so many years. He was even a pallbearer at one of the funerals.

The opposition is trailing hard. Even the local and very liberal TV news is slanting the news (not unusual in itself) for Reichert (very unusual since he's GOP). What's so shocking is that they are putting out stories to aid a pubbie.

My big hope is that he'll get Dunn's house seat, stay there till Senator Maria "I really didn't want to go broke buying this Senate seat" Cantwell's term is up and then win her place in the Senate.

My family and I visited D.C. back in April. We were standing on the corner of one street when the police started blocking traffic. We found out the President's motorcade was coming by. My husband held up the camera to take a picture, when the President waved to us! My husband was so excited he waved back, only he was holding the camera in that hand! He took a picture of the pavement!!! LOL, everytime I look at that picture I think of how close we were to this great man. Can you just imagine serving him lemonade? I would literally pass out.

I don't know, however the cowboy President's sexiness surpasses Breck boy's anyday! A man is better than a boy anyday.

They are such adults, aren't they! I shudder to think of another immature child in the white house again.

On the video, it sounds like a group of females came along, realized there stood THE President, and started screaming like groupies.

I saw on Cold Case Files the story and capture of the Green River murderer, Gary Ridgeway. Reichert deserves to win a seat in Congress for his diligence in getting that vicious criminal. We need good men in Congress, and he sounds like a good one. Good luck to him.

That would have been me. I just can't help getting a little giddy anytime Dubya is on T.V. He is just so good at what he does, he makes you love him/ or if you're a democrat you feel so inadequate of him you hate him. I'm glad he is comfortable in his own skin.

Reichert is much loved around here and a real straight arrow. He graduated from a Lutheran college in Portland, Oregon but his home has been in the King County area for 51 years or so.

After the Green River murders had ceased, I used to live very close to that River ... where a lot of the bodies were found. It was really, really creepy to learn that Ridgeway, when arrested, lived about two miles from the place I had recently moved from, meaning, I had lived near him for about six months. Plus, he worked at a place not far from where I live now.

It was one of those cases we were all very glad to have solved; it had been an open wound to the community for decades. Reichert conducted himself throughout the extraordinarily long and painful ordeal in an exemplary manner, and has been an excellent sheriff.

That John Kerry has the charisma of a Monk.

I've known some funny, charming Monks. They may eat in silence, and be serious about their farming and their life but around a table, they can be a merry bunch!!

"Kerry has the charisma of a Mummy" fits better for me!

"Kerry has the charisma of a Med. School skeleton."

"Kerry has the charisma of a great white shark."

"Kerry has the charisma of a toad."

"Kerry has the charisma of a giant oak."

"kerry has the charisma of a turtle."

Okay, okay, I'll stop. He HASN'T any CHARISMA

Thanks for the tip about the using two words. Even though I try to do the + before "Bush", since yahoo, AP, Reuters put so many words about President Bush in their captions, all those lousy pics of the one-who-shall-not-be-named or pictured here, consistently show up.

For those of us who are permanent subs for RWP, thank you, thank you and thank you!!!

It has been a pain in the garbanzos to have to look at those "other" photos.

I'm so glad I'm making the effort to catch up on the Dose which I missed while on travel - or I might have missed this fantastic tip.

Did I mention how thankful I am to you for telling us about this?

Truthy

You are most warmly welcome, Truthy. Be sure to use both + and - symbols to tell the system what you want in your search and what you want out. Here's some examples:

+Bush -John -Kerry -Edwards -Democratic -Democrat

+"President Bush" -"Hillary Clinton" -"Bill Clinton"

As these examples show, when you have a phrase you want the system to search for exactly, put it in quotes, as in "George W. Bush" or "Laura Bush." If you just want to search on a single word or series of words, you don't need quotes.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me, and I'll do my best to answer them.

Did anyone else see President Bush doing the rope line and then picking up one baby and then the other? They were twin boys! What a photo. It was so heartwarming and fun and you could see the people around him enjoying it so much. It was quite a moment. I was trying to tell my husband about it. Want him to see the photo and I want to see and save it. Does ANYONE have that photo? Was last week or so. Appreciate any help. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
