Ladt night I asked for prayers on my baby niece Emma, please continue them.
Today she is having a catscan done to see if the surgery went well.
I have learned that Tom, my sisters boyfriend has been charged with child abuse for Emmas injuries. I hope this isnt true, but I realize that even the best of people can have the worst tendencies. I will keep you guys updated, and keep the prayers coming.

Hold close this precious, innocent child. Save her from those who would harm her. May You cause a blanket of protection and healing to cover her, and may she know the love that every child deserves. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Why? I find with injuries such as this the care provider at the time is always under suspect....
It is indeed possible that Tom was doing all the right things when baby Emma had her fall.
Possible, but not likely. Especially if Tom is not the child's father.

She doesnt want to believe that he can do something like this. If the facts come out and he did do this on purpose hell will have no fury greater than mine and hopefully my sisters.

I am sorry I came off a bit harsh on that but often times poor decisions beget poor results so if Tom is to blame for this mishap then then the mother of the child is surely to blame as well for the poor decision making in leaving her child alone with someone who would harm said child.
Babies do fall by accident..sometimes due to just a stupid moment...
For example, my friend left her baby in car seat on kitchen counter, was harmless to have done that but he and the whole seat fell over and he cracked his skull, should my friend now be brought up on criminal charges? I think not and she learned her lesson. Child is fine btw but those first few days after were scary with Mom beating herself and doing a lot worse damage then worrying about the care of the child.
I find you out of line when we dont know what happened. Its so easy to pass blame when a child is involved. I am at this point praying for baby emma and defending Tom until further notice.
Also, I actually fell down a full staircase holding my 4 month old...how my arms became metal to protect her I have no idea, but should I be brought up on charges for falling down the stairs? She was protected by my sudden metal arm strenght and we both had bruises.....

You know the facts surrounding her injuries ... bring them fully to light that they may be dealt with accordingly. Let's try not to convict him before he gets his day in court. He is innocent until proven guilty.
I hope he is innocent, but if he isn't...if he did this to baby Emma...it's possible that he had never shown a tendency to violence. He may have shown nothing but love for Emma in the past. We can't convict the mom for leaving the baby with him if we don't know the situation! Please have compassion for the author and uncle of Emma. I'm sure he is in enough pain already without us trying to lay the blame on his sister.
Dear God, we come before You to ask for healing and protection for this very precious child of Yours, Emma.
Protect her from any further harm, and please help this child to be healed.

O our Blessed Savior, we plead for complete healing from all that afflicts this precious child, and for future protection from any monster who would seek to do her harm! O Christ our Redeemer, please keep her safe within Thy Arms of Love, our Sweet King; we are entrusting this little soul and her complete welfare to Thee, our God Who prepares a Kingdom for just such as this sweet little babe. We do not know anything other then a baby fell off a coach and hit its head on end of table causeing servere damage to this poor baby Emma.
To make a jump that a poor 11 month old was abused in such a manor ( in ways not defined by anyone other then baby fell off coach) from the little info we have is beyond me so as I said earlier my prayers are with Baby Emma and Tom.
What about the mother...who is most likely suffering terribly from the situation her baby is in?
I am praying for her big time and I hope her FR friend didnt jump the gun by passing blame onto her childs caregiver.
She did call him the best of people....
I thought my ex was the best at one time. I learned later that he wasn't even near to the best.
It is called bad judgement, but it does not make her guilty of trying to hurt her own child.
I am not blaming the man. I will leave that up to the investigators. I am praying for the truth to be revealed! I also hope and pray that it was an accident, for the sake of all involved.

I agree in prayer with everyone that baby Emma has a complete healing for the glory of God and has no lasting effects from the injury.
I also read that Tom, the boyfriend, has been charged with the injury and if he caused this instead of it being due to a fall off the couch, then he's another child-abusing monster and deserves worse than what he did to little Emma.
Still, I remember a time when, like alisasny, I had an accident with my 4 month old daughter. I was carrying her in my arms into a medical clinic for another round of the regular baby innoculation shots, and I tripped over something on the sidewalk and fell face forward onto the concrete. It happened so fast and I was holding tightly to my baby but the back of her head still hit the concrete. I was scared to pieces for her, rushed into the clinic, and they checked her out. Thank God Almighty there was no injury besides bruising, but it would have been very easy for a doctor to question why a four month old baby had been struck on the back of her head yet it was really due to a freak accident.
Please keep us informed aft_lizard on baby Emma's progress, and I pray again she has no lasting injuries! Also, please inform us when you can if Tom did it, or if it was a freak accident.
