Noah,

Perhaps you did not read where I clarified that fact on post #26...end of story. "So before we jump to conclusions," as you said.......read all the posts and you will see what was said on the FR board by me. By the way I am not a hack and check out all my information. It was publicly reported and therefore discussed on FR.

When one protests in some controversial manner or form at a public event, one must be aware that there will be those that do not agree and will write Letters to the Editor on it.(Pretty tame means of response.)

Now, your subject was only a sidebar of other news and not part of the story on the "Reagan bobble head in the coffin" at Round Pond. You just happened to be singled out in the news that day as well. It is also not my fault when a reader does not read carefully before responding.

Your float was mild in fact..the Hummer is a gas guzzler (10mpg ) and they have stopped production, I believe, on the smaller one, because of lack luster sales.--no demand. But then the production numbers were very low to begin with compared to most vehicles.

I personally believe that political statements at said 4th of July parades should consist of floats only when the politician is present. Many parades now are requiring that and the one in Round Pond was more hate filled and cowardly at that. I like to think back to when as a child, a parade was something to look forward too and enjoy..I think of it as a family event with hot dogs and hamburgers and merriment enjoyed by all. A day when we can get away from this political gar_bage and personal agendas, no matter what they might be. But guess that is just the conservatism in me. A Mardi Gras day might be more appropriate for political or environmental protests.

The LCN paper gave their own editorial on the Round Pond coffin float. I am very familiar with the areas involved.

Thanks for your mail..and sharing your concerns

#26 which reads in its' entirety the following correction of the individual(s)

To: Darksheare
from your site:
"Natasha had helped children and adults in scores of towns create murals. From Maine to Ohio, from the Soviet Union to Granada, Nicaragua - from Nigeria to our State Prison, She has helped people express themselves. Some of her most rewarding work has been with people at the Augusta Mental Health Institute."

However Mayers was not a part of the bobbing head Reagan coffin; remember that person or persons were anonymous. How the float drove itself must be another story.A good reporter would have sought out that information!

I pride myself on being pretty fair in my commentary. I am also not a 'mud slinger'.
