Hello. Whoopi Goldberg's comments (at the recent fundraiser in NYC) toward our President were beyond poor taste. They were despicable during a time of war, when our men and women are fighting and dying for our freedoms.
A successful company like Slimfast need not stoop to use someone as bitter and classless as Ms. Goldberg for its' spokesperson.
As long as she is a spokesperson, my family and I will not purchase nor use any products associated with your company.

Fellow Freepers, I urge you to send an email to eight or ten of your non-freeper friends, telling them to send an anti-Whoopi email to Slimfast. I did so and have been delighted by the swift response of my friends; they're all sending emails to Slimfast as I type this! There appears to be much hostility towards Whoopi Goldberg out there, so let's harness it!

I'd be surprised if any one at Slim Fast listens or cares. The founder, S.Daniel Abraham, sold Slim Fast Foods to Unilever a while back but I believe he sits on their board. Abraham is a heavy duty, democrat contributor and a major supporter of the Clintons. He was, apparently, an early Howard Dean contributor, too, but then donated $100,000.00 to, Americans for Jobs, Healthcare and Progressive Values. Torricelli also pitched in $50,000.00 from his abandoned senate campaign fund. That group ran anti-Dean ads during the primaries, especially in Iowa. One of those commercials criticized Dean's history of endorsements by the NRA.

I would just like to inform you, that I am going to discontinue using your product. If a company uses someone like Whoopi Goldberg to sell their product, they have scraped the bottom of the barrel. After her comments at that Hollywood event, I'm surprised Slim Fast didn't terminate her contract-so until you do, I'm using one your competitors product.

I'm a conservative who believes in the first amendment. Political speech is the most protected form of free speech. I resent slim fast's retalliation against Goldberg's expressions and ridicule of Bush, a political figure. that's what done daily in editorial cartoons.
I have two cases of slim fast that I am packaging up and sending back to slim fast with a promise never again to support a corporation that has so little respect for the first admendment.
I think a lot of people don't get it. We should be encouraging Whoopi to do this and NOT discouraging the sponsors as this would certainly put events in motion that may prevent her from being an ass in the future. You don't stop self destruction of the enemy, you stand back and give them air and encourage the flames to burn stronger.
