Osama's Revenge

According to the new book "Osama's Revenge", by Paul Williams, who was interviewed by Linda Vester yesterday, Bin Laden purchased 80 suitcase nuclear bombs from the so-called Russian Mafia. Furthermore, he says many of these bombs have already been smuggled into the USA and are dispersed around the country. Given their love for syncronization, there won't be any warning, but rather dozens going off at the same time all over the country.

A rather frightening thought. People in Israel and the UK are also major targets, obviously. Williams goes on to say that he has confirmed all of this with various nations' intelligence agencies including USA, UK, Pakistan, Russia, etc., but that our government, and the media, will not tell the truth as they are afraid of what it might do to our economy, stock market, etc. There is also fear of civil disobience as Arab-descent persons may become victims of mob violence and persecution.

Williams feels we will come under nuclear attack, most likely this year, but definitely by next year.

Of course, he is trying to sell his book so his motives are questionable. Also, if Bin Laden had all these bombs, why hasn't he used any of them yet. One nuke, regardless how small, would surely result in more fear and press than hundreds of beheadings and car bombs. But I wondered what you all thought about these claims.

*******

The UN along with the Soviet military tried to inventory these "suitcase bombs" and only found half of them.

******

From the Publisher of the book:

Former consultant for the FBI on organized crime and international terrorism and a seasoned investigative reporter, Paul Williams reveals the potential for nuclear terrorism on U.S. soil in this shocking exposé. Based on the findings of U.S., Israeli, Pakistani, and U.K. intelligence, Williams describes how the theft of tactical nuclear weapons from Russian arsenals have in all likelihood made their way to al-Qaeda cells throughout the United States in preparation for the next terrorist attack.

Williams presents evidence showing that, in the chaos following the demise of the Soviet Union, the Chechen mafia got their hands on portable Russian nuclear weapons. Between 1996 and 2001, they negotiated the sale of twenty nuclear “suitcase bombs” to representatives of Osama bin Laden. According to Williams, reliable sources indicate that these bombs may already be in the possession of al-Qaeda cells in New York, Washington, Miami, Chicago, Las Vegas, Houston, and Los Angeles. In addition, bin Laden has recruited former Soviet scientists and technicians to maintain these weapons and recharge their nuclear cores so that they may be deployed immediately on his command. In 2001, he issued a statement boasting of a “Hiroshima” against America.

Also included in the book are bin Laden's "Letter to America" and his "Declaration of War against the Americans Occupying the Land of the Two Holy Places," as well as the World Islamic Statement declaring "Jihad against Jews and Crusaders." These crucial documents highlight the rationale behind and the depth of bin Laden's hatred for the United States. Moreover, Williams documents that Osama has the international network of embedded terrorists to carry out his threats.

Although the media have reported on some of these threatening developments and government insiders have acknowledged the threat of nuclear attack, no one until now has put all the pieces together in a coherent, no-nonsense way. Williams makes a persuasive case that Bin Laden and his deputies have the motive and the means and are waiting for the right opportunity to launch an apocalyptic attack against the “Great Satan” of America.

Who thinks any of this may be a reality? Just wondering.

God bless the world and the better nature in all of us.

I tend to disbelieve this kind of thing, given the physics of "suitcase nukes" and the level of sophistication of the jihadis. Politically they can be quite sophisticated, but when it comes to science they know nothing but explosives and poison. Furthermore, the idea that these jihadis have these weapons and are waiting to use them doesn't square with their past behavior. The fact of him using it to sell a book also doesn't sit right with me... if this stuff is true, simply writing a book about it doesn't seem to me to be an appropriate response.

That report does sound extremely serious by the way even Daschle responded to it.

However, I believe the information on the suitcase nukes being in this country has been around for some time. This is extremely serious. I just don't believe the government wants to tell the American people. And, when you really think about it, what could any one of us do about it if we knew the truth? I would not like to live in the center of a big U.S. city these days.

On a higher level, what can the world and American leaders do to try to diffuse this hatred for America? This must be stopped.

Liberals would love that scenario, they would rebuild the country as a socialist utopia.

What response would you prefer that Mr. Williams have? Would you like for him to buy time for a CNN television special?

I'd like him to take all his info to the Dept. of Homeland Security and/or the Dept. of Defense, then keep his big mouth shut about it so the enemy doesn't get clued in as to how much we know or don't know about their plans. If millions of lives were on the line as he alleges, "loose lips sink ships" should take priority over book royalties.

They're doing that now, but it's far from a utopia..... more like a socialist sewer where most of the citizens are somnambulant.

I hate to be a pain in the ass. But, this hatred for America can be dealt with in one way only. Victory over the islamo- facists.

Do you really think the government doesn't know this already, if it is in fact true?

The system we have today is economic slavery and it is supported by both parties. They take from your pocket and give it to companies as subsidies who give it back to the politicians as contributions (laundering). In return regulations amd sometimes outright monopoly status is given to the company. Try starting a peanut farm without a license. Try selling milk at prices lower than the government thinks should be allowed. Try selling eggs without joining the Egg Board.

So food prices go up because government said so and they launch welfare programs to feed the poor.

Now everyone is beholden to big fat government.

Makes sense to me! But how do we explain the apparent growing dislike for America in other parts of the world. It's not as if these terrorists are acting in a vacuum. As the days go by in fact, we are learning more and more about French involvement in activities that have killed our soldiers and hurt the effort in Iraq.

I believe Osama's dead.

I have a hard time believing that if al-Qaeda had suitcase nukes that they wouldn't of used them already.

Especially on Israel.

So this gives me hope that they in fact do not have them in their possession (at least so far).

If it is in fact true, then it is arguably treason to reveal war intelligence to the enemy. As the author doesn't benefit anyone but himself by writing the book, I conclude that this is ultimately no different from any other claim that the end is near.

Shame.

We've given too much.

Now they hate us because they feel inferior.

Chirac's Gov't hates the White House and it's actions in Iraq. They lost a ton of money. Also, remember this, the French have a problem of immigrants and illegal aliens as well. However, these cats are from Algeria, Egypt, and other Moslem countries.

The Old Europe is becoming increasingly anti-Isreal. I believe this is related to the increasing abundance of hard core Muslims taking over France and Germany.

The problem is not as wide spread as reported. The Muslims are populating Germany and France. But, not all of Europe.

Agence France Presse has been on site to film attacks on coalition troop movements. I do believe they are encouraging attacks on our troops.

You may very well be right, but this information goes way back, as an example from CNS Reports:

Former Russian Security Council Secretary Aleksandr Lebed has stirred controversy in both Russia and the United States with his allegations that the Russian government is currently unable to account for some eighty small atomic demolition munitions (ADMs) which were manufactured in the USSR during the Cold War. Lebed originally made the allegations in a closed meeting with a US congressional delegation in May 1997. His charges generated public controversy three months later when he repeated them in an interview with the CBS newsmagazine 60 Minutes, which was broadcast on 7 September 1997.

****

All I know is that I saw this fellow being interviewed on FoxNews on Friday around noon by a male (who's name escapes me), and Mr. Williams was quite alarmed and very serious. And I consider myself a rather excellent judge of whether someone is being honest. But, who knows. Time will tell, and there isn't much of it, IMO.
