Implosion
By Jennifer King
July 9, 2004

Question: What is red, red and red all over? The Communist Party USA (CPUSA) and the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP) would seem to fit the bill quite well.

Both parties, long at odds over whether to support Leninism or Maoism, lately joined together enthusiastically in order to praise the most recent "schlocumentary" by self-hating American Michael Moore. Revealingly, they were joined by legions of their fellow travelers at several star-studded premiers around the country. The cast of culprits included the usual suspects - Al Franken, Richard Gere and Tim Robbins - but also dismayingly included the alleged "unbiased" reporter Tom Brokaw and time-honored film actress Lauren Bacall, who surely should know better.

And, it wasn't only deluded Follywood types who lined up eagerly to quaff the brown acid. Almost the entire hierarchy of the Democratic Party joined them, from Tom Daschle to Terry McAuliffe, ready to embrace a man whose "filmmaking" sways dangerously close to blatant propaganda. Unbelievably, the entire Democratic Party and their allies on the Left champion a man who sides openly with our terrorist enemies.

On September 12th, 2001, Moore was quoted as saying, "We in the United States of America are culpable in committing so many acts of terror and bloodshed that we had better get a clue about the culture of violence in which we have been active participants." In other words, we deserved it. Ed Koch has said that somewhere around this time he heard Moore say, "I don't know why we are making so much of an act of terror. It is three times more likely that you will be struck by lightning than die from an act of terror." In other words, get over it.

Moore's indifference to September 11th is exceeded only by his fevered support for our enemies. Recently, Moore had this to say about the insurgents our troops are battling - "Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not insurgents or terrorists or 'The Enemy'. They are the Revolution, the Minutemen and their numbers will grow and they will win." This despite the evidence that the insurgents are die-hard jihadists flooding into Iraq in order to fight The Great Satan firsthand. Moore is rooting for their triumph, and our attendant loss. Do mainline Democrats really support this modern day Tokyo Rose?

Moore also is not fond of his fellow Americans, telling the British press that, "we Americans suffer from an enforced ignorance" and that "our stupidity is embarrassing." In this he is somewhat correct, for many of the kool ade drinkers have bought eagerly into the amply refuted lies promulgated in Fahrenheit 911. Moore's factual errors are many, and have been amply detailed in articles such as 59 Deceits in Fahrenheit 911, available at National Review Online. Nevertheless, Moore has surrounded himself with prime members of the Left's hit team - from Hillary's former press secretary Howard Wolfson to Joe Lockhart's business partner Michael Feldman to the tainted Clinton spin doctors Mark Fabiani and Chris "Leheinous" - and he promises to sue anyone who questions his veracity. With all the Clintonites involved, a conspiracist of another stripe could spot a coordinated revenge plot aimed squarely at deposing George W. Bush. And, interestingly enough, while Moore's "crockumentory" spreads plenty of blame on Bush for 9/11, Moore can't seem to locate any to spread on the Clinton Administration. This despite the fact that Clinton had eight years and numerous, escalating terrorist events to respond to and the Bush Administration had been in power for barely eight months.

Nevertheless, Fahrenheit 911 is sure to be a hit with those who - like Moore - are still fuming over the 2000 election results. However, the elevation of Moore from deluded crackpot to intrepid journalist is yet another sign that the Left is sliding moore irrevocably into a moore-ass of insanity.

The screeching of Hillary, the mad rants of Al Gore and the moral posturing of Ted Kennedy combine to make a raucous bedlam - are there no adults in the Democratic Party anymore? Terrorists will not differentiate between Americans of different stripes, surely rational Democrats would do better to join the fight rather than engaging in ridiculous and paranoid conspiracy theories which serve to embolden our enemies.

Possibly a little more then just revenge. Potentially these socialists want the destruction of America as the worlds only super power or 'hyper power' as the Frenchies like to say. The evidence is mounting. Mr. Clinton did not take Bin Laden when he was offerred. Ms. Clinton supported the PLO. Mr. Clinton did not inform the new President about the serious threat that Bin Laden presented. The Democratic Party went from Al Gore giving the new President GWB a preliminary concession call, to the entire Democratic Party turning the election into a circus and accussing GWB of stealing the election. In the meantime, Ms. Clinton is a powerful US senator with lots of FBI files in her purse.

For some reason, no serious public investigations into Mr. Clintons handling of Bin Laden have been launched.
For some reason, someone in the US government appears to be preventing the FBI from discovering who attacked the US with Anthrax.
For some reason, the media is more worried about the WMD components in Iraq then they are worried about the source of the anthrax that was deployed against the US.

Of course there are. Howard Dean, for one.

Oh. Uh, yeah. Well, OK then, Dennis Kuchinich.

Oops. Never mind.
