You don't have to be cynical to figure out which number is bigger.

Thanks for sharing, however, you do need to look at history from a different angle. They teach the concept of looking at history and wars, etc. from different angles at places where I have been.

Perhaps the concept of sticking the finger in rancid pie and demanding a correction is an ulterior motive.

Nice cartoon, but Big Stupid Government never left. You'll notice it's been expanding like a cancer the last few years.

"More Than $2 Trillion!!"
(To be sung to Boston's "More Than a Feeling")

The LeftWing's in mourning 'cuz SlickWillie's gone...
RATS have no future...with Jean Kerry!!
Right votes fer Strength, not like Spain Done Wrong...
Still, our liberties are stripped away-ay-ay-ay!!

The RightWing needs FReepin'...(more than $2 Trillion!!)
When we hear Big Guv'ment's been holdin' sway (more than $2 Trillion!!)
RightWing needs FReepers (almost $3 Trillion!!)
'Til we see Big Guv'ment melt away...
We'll see our Liberties fadin' away!!

So many FReepers have come and gone...
Their mem'ry fades as the years go by.
Yet I still recall list'nin' ta Limbaugh...
Each year when we vote, Fed budget's too hi-i-igh!!

The RightWing needs FReepin'...(more than $2 Trillion!!)
Folks, I've heard Dem ol' excuses still today (more than $2 Trillion!!)
RightWing needs FReepin' (almost $3 Trillion!!)
'Til we see Big Guv'ment melt away...
High time that Conservatives win the day!!

(Guitar jammin' interlude)

When I'm tired and feelin' old...
I think about Reagan, who saved the day!!
And dream of the men who used to know...
If we close our eyes, FReedom'll slip away!!
DemRATS must pay!! Right must hold sway!!

The LeftWing is reelin'!! (more than $2 Trillion!!)
Folks, we've heard RAT's ol' songs they always play... (more than $2 Trillion!!)
The RightWing needs FReepin'...(almost $3 Trillion!!)
'Till we see KerryMan slink away...
We Shan't Let Slick Willie Git Away !!

From what angle is a 13% increase in non-defense government spending not a 13% increase in non-defense government spending?

Kerry’s welfare state

A tax-payers group is beginning to add up the costs of Sen. John Kerry’s welfare state and the return of big government. The Washington Times reports:

Despite Kerry's attempts to outflank Bush on the deficit issue and portray himself as the more fiscally responsible candidate, the data behind Kerry's rhetoric tell a different story," said Drew Johnson, the study's author.

"Enactment of Kerry's 'revised' spending agenda in its entirety would still mean higher taxes, a larger national debt or likely both," he said.

The National Taxpayers Union Foundation (NTUF) will release a study later this week that discloses that Kerry's budget proposals do not slash the deficit in half over four years as he promises. Instead he would increase spending well beyond his estimates:

"Overall, Senator Kerry proposes spending $770.6 billion over five years to fund his projects, while suggesting just $35.99 billion in budget cuts," the study says.

"This leaves $734.62 billion unaccounted for and presumably passed on to American taxpayers in the form of increased taxes or suffocating debt," the study said.

Massachusetts Lib'ral Hanoi John KLerry is an unrepentant Socialist and shall never be POTUS...still, it is necessary fer those of us on the Right to continue to press Dubyuh to rein in outta-control domestic spending!! Cutting the Size and Scope of the Federal Leviathan and Devolving Power to the States, Localities, and Individuals is Good fer the long-term prospects of America, and the Bush Administration.
