ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest radio advertisement, "Havoc." The ad will run in select local markets and on Spanish language radio stations.
John Kerry is trying to convince the American people that he represents "conservative values," though his voting record shows he is the United States Senate's most out of the mainstream member. This ad reflects Kerry's out of the mainstream record, including votes against Laci's Law to help deter violence against pregnant women, against parental notification for teenage abortions and in favor of allowing schools to hand out the morning after pill without parents' knowledge.
Script for "Havoc"
VOICE OVER:
Paid for by Bush-Cheney '04 Inc.
PRESIDENT BUSH:
I'm George W. Bush. And I approve this message.
VOICE OVER A:
John Kerry is a very busy man.
JOHN KERRY:
This is wreaking havoc with my schedule.
VOICE OVER A:
So busy that while campaigning, Kerry missed over two thirds of all votes in the Senate.
VOICE OVER B:
Kerry missed a vote to lower health care costs by reducing frivolous lawsuits against doctors.
VOICE OVER A:
Kerry missed a vote to fund our troops in combat.
VOICE OVER B:
Yet, Kerry did find time to show up to vote against the Laci Peterson law the law protecting pregnant women from violence.
VOICE OVER A:
And when you find out about Kerry's extreme voting record, it makes you wish he never showed up to vote.
VOICE OVER B:
Because Kerry voted against parental notification for teenage abortions
VOICE OVER A:
Taking control away from parents
VOICE OVER B:
Taking away their right to know.
VOICE OVER A:
And Kerry even voted to allow schools to hand out the morning after pill without parents' knowledge.
VOICE OVER B:
If these are John Kerry's priorities, let's hope there is a lot of havoc in his schedule.
Played in Pro-Life swing areas, this could be helpful. Not the sort of thing they want to hear in RINO circles.
This pointing out the truth about Kerry's liberalism is just too easy. Next up, I want an ad about how Kerry is just too busy to attend national security briefings. Talk about 'priorities'......
I like it. :-)
Ouch. That's going to leave a mark. That will play very well on Spanish radio.
very good.
a good ad and it gets it point across. I just wish Bush ads were more pro bush than anti-kerry.
I heard this ad this morning in Oregon, on a Portland News/Talk station.
Don't forget to mention that he was too busy campaigning to be at the Senate to vote to extend unemployment benefits for those still unemployed. THE MEASURE FAILED BY ONE VOTE!
"Havoc" is such a cool word, but a certain Freeper has given it a very illogical, pedantic, anti-Bush and anti-Catholic meaning. It's almost ruined for me.
Instead of just "violence against pregnant women", they should explain that if you kill an unborn child, that the mother wanted, you would be charged with murder.
I SAW this ad on my TV this morning - it's compelling!
Glad that Unemployment vote failed, what is it now 2 years of unemployment for each month worked?
The "pro-Bush" ads were tried. They weren't regarded too well, IIRC.
IMHO, most people know President Bush--either the truth, or what the "Left" tries to pass off as the truth. Many people don't know the truth about Kerry, and even less about Edwards, and you KNOW that the media won't tell the truth about them, or their #1 and #4 liberal voting records.
So the campaign must get the word out, in ads and speeches, or no one will.
The truth is Pro-Life now has about 70 percent approval by voters. People under 30 are more and more opposed to abortion. The Spoiled boomers are still for it, but not a majority of the people. Using this prolife pitch is very effective.
Here in Southern Ohio, George Voinovich decieded that to beat the democrat in the house race, he needed a liberal prochoice woman. In 1994 a prolife Republican won. IN 1996 a pro abortion Democrat won. In 1998 Voinovich decided to run a pro abortion RINO Republican woman. She got the crap beat out of her.
Pointing out that Kerry and Edwards support abortion can make a 100 thousand vote difference in Ohio. It cam make a similar differnenc in PA and Michigan.
Pro life and Pro gun are both very positive issues in most of the nation. The world has changed in the last 15 years. Dead babies don't sell.
guns dont kill babies, democrats do.
I am certainly glad it failed. But the Kerry campaign was lambasting the administration for failing to extend the benefits. I have not heard it much lately so they might have figured this one out and dropped the matter. But then we can still use it as a political stick to beat the Kerry campaign with.
Love it.
