I just noticed that many of the links in that thread no longer work. Perhaps Lowbridge could let us know where he is now chronicling his efforts on behalf of the human race.

Tonight's BIG QUESTION...is it better to spend one's time trying to scam Nigerian scammers, or to go on DU and try and have a rational discussion?

Hmmmm... that suggests another amusing gag to play on a Nigerian scammer once you have him on the hook:

"PS: I'm going to be out of town and won't be able to read my e-mail. If you need to contact me in the next three weeks, sign on to the message dropping site www.democraticunderground.com with the name "GWB4Ever" and leave a message titled "Fund Raising"."

Just 3 minutes after reading this thread, I got an e-mail from Mr. Sesay Massoquoe, who fled from Sierra Leone and is in the Netherlands with political asylum. Anyone here want to help him get his $35 million stashed with a security company? In return for such help, he says he will be happy to "discuss other modalities including remuneration for your services."

This is about as silly as "Crank calls: the telephone's first blood sport".

What, you mean calling the local 7-11 and asking if they have Prince Albert in a can is not a blood sport? Darn. I always thought it was bloody good fun!

A co-worker of mine strung along a Nigerian scammer and eventually nailed him with a virus.

Yeah, that usually happens with unprotected sex...

Ping for future reading and lowbridge's response, if he's gotten a new website.

Account Frozen.

The page you are looking for has expended its monthly bandwidth allowance and will be frozen until more is purchased or its bandwidth is reset.

Cripes. Does anyone know of a good freebie site?

Nope. I'm working on a group photo. Which is harder than I thought. I think I will have to change the sign I requested. It may be a little too obvious.

What size group? I inadvertently got three scammers to pose for a photo (I only asked one to do it), but I've never tried for a large-scale group of the "this football team may come to you as a surprise" nature. I'm afraid of them involving innocent parties (including children) into the deal to get the required photograph.
