SHOCK POLL: EDWARDS-KERRY DOWN 15 POINTS IN NORTH CAROLINA
DRUDGE REPORT ^ | 7/13/04 | DRUDGE REPORT

Posted on 07/13/2004 6:52:38 AM PDT by Liz

Drudge header links to USA TODAY report----site has full details (can't post USA TODAY on FR).

Looks like the "love birds" bombed. Their idiotic behavior----touching---hugging----kissing----no, not their wives.....each other-----was off-putting to potential voters.

What is the lesson Kerry-Edwards should have learned? Love hurts? LOL.

"We're bombing, baby. Bigtime."

I'm not really surprised. I heard the Mayor of Charlotte on Steve Malzberg's programme over the weekend say he barely knew Edwards. A caller from North Carolina on Hannity yesterday said he was a nonentity and would not have been re-elected. Just desserts and bon appetit, Monsieur Kerry.

Regards, Ivan

Does thins poll take into consideration Edwards's 'cuteness factor'. That's worth 15 percentage pnts easily.

Kerry needs to take a few weeks off the campaign trail ASAP. Can't he go snowboarding in the southern hemisphere this time a year? Or maybe he can lose his voice or something.

The RNC and BC04 need to jump on this pronto -- the people that (supposedly) know Edwards the best are overwhelmingly against the Kerry-Edwards ticket... sounds like good ad material to me.

John Edwards is not very liked here in North carolina among the people I know. I am a deputy here in NC. I hear a lot of people voicing their displeasure at Edwards. Edwards has only hurt himself by associating himself with that master of flip flops.

It's been noted that Kerry's numbers look better when he stays out of sight and keeps his mouth shut.
I just keep in mind: He wasn't the dems first choice...just an "only choice left" consolation after screamin'-deanie imploded.
There is hope! (and just for the record: Edwards is not cute---goofy maybe---but not cute)

The only Tar Heels I know of who are Edwards supporters are the rabid counter culture left whom are found mainly around Universities and University cities; And the welfare poor.

I think the University Liberals will vote enmass this election. The welfare poor will vote sporadically, maybe even higher than usual this year due to leftist sponsored strong voter registration drives in their areas.

This is going to be the worst thing for this ticket. Edwards makes the Democrats' faint hopes in NC completely out of reach. There was (it can be argued) an ever-so-slight bump with the Edwards pick, but the news will always be "Why can't Edwards even make the ticket competitive in his own state?"

This ticket will bomb big-time in union states.

You have Kerry supporting eco-fascists whose favorite pasttime is shutting down business, including those with union shops.

Then there's the trial lawyers who sue businesses out of business, throwing union members out of work.

Plus their anti-gun hysterics will turn off union members who are hunters.

The rats are now caterring to their extreme left wing fruitcakes.

As union members realize the damage this metrosexual/Marxist ticket causes to their jobs, the rank and file will either stay home or vote for Bush. I'm seeing a Bush win in Michigan this fall. The Reagan democrats are coming back.

The rats couldn't have picked a worse ticket.

How can this beeeeeee? They have such wonderful hair! It's good to see North Carolinians value substance over style.

The media love fest at the Dem Convention will feature wall to wall adoration of the Kennedy clan...the fallen President, the adorable John John saluting, the fallen Bobby, the heroic Rose, the fallen future of Camelot, JFK, Jr. They will 'hint' that if you vote for Kerry & Edwards, you'll get Camelot Redux (apologies to Updike).

The only Tar Heels I know of who are Edwards supporters are the rabid counter culture left whom are found mainly around Universities and University cities; And the welfare poor.

I listen to a lot of talk radio over the internet and I've heard liberals calling Hannity and David Gold over at KSFO 560 - when anyone asks the following question -

What precisely has John Edwards done as Senator and how has this qualified him for the Presidency?

They go into meltdown. They can't name a single bloody thing except that he was on the Foreign Relations committee. Did he do anything there? Apparently not. The left in America is obviously deranged and this is just another symptom that they would see him as being so bloody wonderful that they think he excretes diamonds out of a platinum plated rectum.

This is very funny to me. I've been subjected to a series of emails from some clown calling himself "Ben Dover" touting Kerry / Edwards.

Just this morning I got another "hotmail" from this idiot, saying if Edwards was going to lose in NC, how come he got 51% of the primary vote.

Hope the idiot reads this post. I won't know because after clipping the poll numbers I blocked the email account.

Only cowards use hotmail for this type of thing.

He deserves a British-made Doc Marten driven so far up his jacksie that afterwards he could sing for the Vienna Boys' Choir. Jean-Francois is a disgrace and now, a proven fool.

This is political dynamite. If a guy can't get elected in his own state, it says a lot about him.

Also, we should all be popularizing the term "ambulance chaser" in connection with Kerry. Or, alternatively, "rich and successful ambulance chaser."
