Bomb Threat at Stardust Casino (Update: false alarm)

Word just broke that metro cops are at the Stardust looking into a suspected expolisve device at the Stardust here on the LV Strip.
I think they closed the strip from the Fremont to Sahara Ave.

BTW, remember the 3 day Easter blackout at the Bellagio? Have they ever spilled the beans on the "why" that happened? Rumors of sabotage...

The Las Vegas Strip shut down, between Spring Mountain & Cathedral, for more than an hour today because of a possible bomb threat. As Action News was the first to report, it turns out, a suspicious device was only an antenna that fell off a vehicle. That word from the Las Vegas Fire Department

The glazing is the glass. As some of you remember, there was a scathing report about the UN bombing in Baghdad. Had they installed security window film that holds the glass in the frame, several lives could have been saved.
Glass is a big killer in explosions. It rips people to shreds. The company with which I do consulting work is protecting the buildings in the green zone in Baghdad.

I just got back from Vegas today...
They were performing disaster drills on Sunday
with City Hall, Police,EMT, Fire etc busy on
a mock up (Emergency Disaster) which closed a number of blocks to all Traffic both vehicular and pedestrian.

Las Vegas is the epitome of Western decadence and a prime target for Islamists. I was there in May and ate at the buffet at the Aladdin. I purposefully showed the bottom of my shoe while sitting at my table, to further enhance the decadent reputation of the city.
