I know this is common knowledge but nice to see them open about it.

They're going to portray Kerry and Edwards as being young and dynamic and optimistic and there's going to be this glow about them, collective glow, the two of them, that's going to be worth maybe 15 points.

I think he's overestimating the waning power of the old media by about an order of magnitude...

What a disgusting cover.

If that photo ain't a "We Really Are For Gay Marriage! (we're just talking states-rights
to keep hold of conservative Demos)" advertisement, I don't know what is.

The Lamstream media couldn't derail Ronnie when he ran against a liberal, couldn't derail Bush I when he ran against a liberal, and won't be able to derail W come November. Wishful thinking by a typical lefty who thinks he has power.

"They're going to portray Kerry and Edwards as being young and dynamic and optimistic and there's going to be this glow about them,"

Of course, the fact that Kerry is several years older than Bush won't get in the way of that. And if Bush were not optimistic, he NEVER would have gone into Iraq. And the fact that we've never had a modern president as buff as Bush won't matter either. To hell with the facts, just spin it.

"Why is Edward on the front of Kerry in the cover???"

Because he's more photogenic and Newsweek wants to help the cause as much as they can.

If you the Newsweek cover is disguisting check out Time's cover:

http://www.time.com/time/magazine/archive/covers/0,16641,1101040719,00.html

I remember when Clinton and Gore ran in 1992 and TIme had this very flattering cover of the two with the headline "Young Guns".

actually it's because the media led the Kerry campaign through a metamorphosis last weekend that transposed the two of them together and now the nominee will be Edwards.

They are also richer, office for desired office.

Kerry- "First I was a gigolo, then I wasn't, now I am AGAIN!"

Can't say there's anything said there except what one man says... and he says he just "thinks". You hear people saying one way or the other- right folks call it the liberal media, and left folks say it's "so-called". I've always been of the opinion that the media is biased toward whatever will kick up a fight, because there's nothing less interesting than agreement to a news man.
