There's only one problem with this assertion. If al Qaeda has the nukes here, why haven't they already used them? They gain nothing by delay, and nukes don't have an indefinite shelf life.

...They gain nothing by delay,...

Exactly. If you're Al Qaeda and your network is being decimated daily, your comrades are being questioned in Gitmo and elsewhere, how long do you think it will be before the Yanks find you or your nukes?

Logic would dictate that you use 'em before you lose 'em.

And if they really have nukes, why haven't they tested one? How can they be sure they will work? If the Russians, Americans, Chinese etc. must test theirs with all their technology, why not the mad mullahs?

If they really do, they are playing with extinction. There are unfortunately, precedents.

Exactly. The article says they purchased 20 devices in 1996 yet they chose to use hijacked airplanes on Sept. 11, 2001?

" They gain nothing by delay, and nukes don't have an indefinite shelf life."

Maybe that's the cause of the delay. They had to figure out how to 'refresh?' them.

Or better yet, why hasn't Israel been hit. Logic would say since Israel is the mud in their eye, then it should go first. The fact that is hasn't speaks volumes, both in terms of Israel's preparedness and the Islamocrazies capabilities.

It seems they operate according to dates that are significant to them.

Well might be that "they" want to set up a "nuclear pecking order"...have too many nukes in too many countries...once the first goes off others will too...and the pecking order will spread like a cancer...

True. And something many Americans forget - our nukes have a 20 year shelf life, and the last weapon we built (the very last one) was in 1990.

How many do we have left?
