Kinda puts my frustration in a different light doesn't it. The mods or JR one put THE thread back on the side activism side board. A small amount of good news in a sea of despair.

To the best of my knowlege, limited though it is, those of us working on it here and some in the farm bureau are the only ones working on it.

The lack of organized opposition amazes me. From what I can remember, only the Farm Bureau and Plumas County are opposed to this...is that all?

I guess... If nobody else much gives much of a hoot what happens to most of eastern CA, then why should I care. I've only been fighten these creeple people for over the last decade... That's all.

I keep thinkin it can only get a little worse before somebody out there finally wakes up, but no matter how strident one becomes... only a handful and only a couple of organizations grumble a little and there goes the farm and all the sons of the pioneers over the hill to get retrained to live in the rat infested megalopolis!!!

I'm gonna quit lamentin and quit lettin myself care about it because all it does is make me out the bad guy singing my repetitive tune. From now on it nuthin but fun and games and bein a half-fast spectator, shakin my head for a brief moment and grinnin and movin on down the road, takin care of only myself till there's no more young people in CA.

We're suffocating our own substance, offspring and resources and it's a disgrace to protect so much that could be productive and useful. We were once a shining example to the world of a thriving, useful, productive state... now look what we've let the Euro-Socialistas do to our future with our mob rule ballot measures and government by whim.

There is no longer such a thing as a California REPUBLIC!!! I just wears me out to think about it anymore... There will be no "there" there before much longer. It's being run into the ground by a bunch of clowns without dignity!!! It's just too disheartening.

I guess the effort in Klamath Falls on the CA/OR border was about the last hurrah. Whatever...

I don't think that's the case at all. I think alot of people are upset with the advance of the socialist agenda and have given up on trying to work within the system...some to the point that they believe that social unrest is the only viable answer to this crap.

Personally, I don't know how much longer things can continue the way they are. As Ayn Rand pointed out in Atlas Shrugged, constant demonization and harassment of the people who produce eventually leads to social collapse..

As we have discussed on other threads, thanks to the cows don't vote ruling, we are no longer a republic - we are a social democracy. (although it doesn't appear to be at first glance, this article is actually about property rights)

Saw your comment of a couple of days ago, and I can tell you there's some work going on on the East side. I have a copy of the "Sierra Nevada Resource Investment Needs Assessment," from 2002, and I can tell you it's the same old story.

One of our recently elected county supervisors is on record as being unalterably opposed to the conservancy, and will work against it as well as he can. The Mojave Desert-Mountain Resource Conservation and Development Council has a preponderance of members who oppose it, and who are also in regular communication with government entities that do (BLM, Forestry, Cal Fish and Game, etc.), and there are many others who stand foursquare in favor of private property rights.

Win, lose or draw, there will be some activity from our end.

"Cal Fish and Game"

Thanks for your encouragement. I and the few others on here that are repulsed by this seem to be screaming into deaf ears!!! It's just stunning!!! It's like fartin in a whirlwind!!!

There is a division of CA F&G, called The Wildlife Conservation Board, that is about the most corrupt danged thing in existance in CA!!!

Assemblyman David Knowles, who preceded Assemblyman, now State Senator Rico Oller tried to have this corrupt branch of F&G audited at one time, just before he termed out and moved over to the State Dept. of Insuance. He got nowhere!!!

This division of F&G, The Wildlife Conservation Board is foursquare in favor of the SNC as they thrive on all the "Land Trusts" and private "Conservancies" who operate as "Not For Profit, But For Huge Expenses & Salaries" corporations. They facilitate these GANG-GREEN NGO's by paying huge mark-ups to them for the land they manage to coerce from "willing sellers" with taxpayer's funds!!!

Then these same GANG-GREEN NGO's can fund litigation and political activites like "No Growth" ballot measures galore to facilitate more "Rural Cleansing" along the same vein (as in gold vein)!!!

The routine is... First they corner the large landowner by smearing them that they are "probably gonna develop" their property and whip all the flatlanders that just moved in next door to the property from LA, that the owner is gonna "pave over paradise" (that beautiful openspace next door with the awful, stinkin, mooing cattle running all over it) and get the property off the tax rolls for far below it's potential value.

Then, the GANG-GREEN NGO gets it appraised as if it's actually going to be developed into a massive resort and huge housing development, etc., then offers it at that HUGE PRICE to the Wildlife Conservation Board which has billions stored over the years!!!

This money, almost enough to settle the deficits Gray Davis and the Demonicrats ran up, comes mostly from hidden measures in numerous mis-named "Parks, Water and Recreation" BOND and FEE statewide ballot measures that the city slickers just keep on voting for. Gerald Meral got so many of these passed that he finally retired from shooting ducks in a barrel, because he just got bored with it.

You, Mugwump, probably are aware of some of this, but I pinged a few others to point this scam and how it works, out to them.
