We're working on finalizing the plans for our next series of road trips on our coast to coast freedom tour. We hope to visit all 50 states during the full tour (may take a couple two or three years to accomplish this) and visit as many of our chapters as we possibly can.
We were hoping to visit all of the Pacific Northwest states this year including Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and possibly the Dakotas, but Chris is not going to get enough time off from his classes, so this trip will be broken up over several weekends and limited to the Pacific States. We'll have to complete the rest of the Northwestern States trip next year.
Here is our tentative itinerary:
July 23 - 24 - San Diego - to meet with the San Diego Chapter and welcome the USS Ronald Reagan to her new homeport and to man a voter registration booth. Dinner on Saturday with the San Diego FReepers.
July 31, Aug 1 - Ventura and Simi Valley - to meet with the Southern California Chapters and tour the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. BBQ on Sunday afternoon.
August 7 - 8 - Seattle and Tacoma - to meet with the Puget Sound Chapter. BBQ on Sunday afternoon.
August 9 - Portland - would like to meet for dinner with the Portland area FReepers on Monday night, the 9th of August.
August 10, 11 - Lincoln City and Bandon - lunch in Lincoln City on the 10th and then on to Bandon to meet with 68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub (Tonk) and tour his Coast Guard base on Wed the 11th.
Aug 12 - 15 - Northern California Coast - Eureka, Fort Bragg, Mendocino, Monterey - hope to meet up with Syncro somewhere along the Ave of the Giants and caravan down the Northern California Coast from Eureka to Monterey. Would be grate to have a FReep Meet in Monterey!
We're also planning on traveling across the South in January and down into Florida, then caravan up the Eastern Coast to Washington, DC, in time for the Free Republic George W Bush Inaugural Ball II. Woo hoo!
And then next Spring, Summer and Fall, we'll make three more trips to visit as many of the remaining lower 48 states and chapters as we possibly can and then it's on to Canada, Alaska and Hawaii the following year!!
GOOD for you Jim
and even better for us.
Can hardly wait to meet you!
For once I'm jealous of the west coast.
Look forward to the Southern States tour.

Hey JR,
I have come to be a true believer.
I do not figure that you will ever make it to my neck of the woods, but if you ever do, I can assure you of a room at the Inn here, no charge.
Thank you for your inspired site. It means a lot to many of us!

How close are you going to get to Cortez? And when is that anticipated?
Hi Jim! We've been working out our schedule with Syncro for the weekend of the 14th and 15th in Monterey...we'll be there! Sounds like fun - see you there.
Are you planning on going to the convention (the one in NY, of course) ?
Well, I guess I'll fire up my Washington State Ping List, then. :^DAnd my Gen. Interest list too !

Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Washington State or General Interest ping list!. . .don't be shy.
WOO HOO Tonkin!!!
Hope to get up to Massachusetts sometime next year. Pray it's not to FReep a president Kerry.
Hope you have fun. I have never been to California, but I hear it is a bit better there, since they have a Republican Governor..SAY HELLO TO GOV ARNIE.
sighs....whew....that is too scary to even think
Cortez, CO? Don't know. We went through Colorado in May, but we were quite a bit to the north of Cortez.
That's grate!! See you there!!
Not planning on the convention. Hope to be in New York sometime next year.
What about the Farmington NM area? That's not too far from me.
Will do! Thanks
Still don't know. We went through NM a couple years ago just to the south of you (I-40). Not sure when, but we'll probably make that trip again sometime.
Pinging some Texans, too, just for the heck of it! :^DFree Republic Coast to Coast Freedom Tour ~ 2004 ~

Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Texas ping list!. . .don't be shy.
No, you don't HAVE to be a Texan to get on this list!
Full Texas Ping List
Hey Jim! You did not include Alaska. There are a lot of non-RINO, real conservative types here.
And bumping to participants and interested parties in the Texas meeting with Jim Robinson recently.Pardon me for any double pings here. :^)
We hope to get up there eventually.
We look forward to that; please let us know when.
Is that a pic of Jim's rig? It's WAY COOL!
I'll just bide my time till I get the chance to meet you then! I can wait, it'll be hard...but I can wait.
see ya in Buffalo next year??
Or maybe I will be able to make it to DC in Jan..
Great! Will do. We're looking forward to it too!
LOL. I think Meek fancied up the old rig a bit. Wish I did have one of those. That thing looks like it could go anywhere.
Is that a pic of Jim's rig? It's WAY COOL!hehe ! Thanks. That is a pic of my rendition of his rig. :^D
LOL. Ok.
Ok, see you then.
Thanks for the ping.
God be with you JR and loved ones and friends.
Bump for being part of the West Coast Freedom Tour!

Where can we meet Jim in Portland?
Daydreaming of the first time I heard the term "Freeper" a little bit longer than a year ago, March 2003, during those awful gray days of the ditzy chicks. Even then I sensed it was an honor to be called a Freeper. Thank you to whomever it was who directed me here.
Way too cool:) I did that in Europe for over a month. Backpacks and trains and laundromats when we get there:) A little different, because it's a smaller area. The US is a great place with great things to see. I will try to see you in Simi/Ventura. CO is better in the summer than the winter, and KA too. And the desert can get very cold in the winter. Happy trails:):)
That is the oddest ride I've ever seen, what is that thing?
Is this supped up Hummer for real??, have you cleared this thing with the highway patrol?? :-)
Godspeed to the Republic.

Thanks for the ping!
bon voyage (whoops, too French) --- I mean good journey!
