MOVE ON.ORG SUES FOX NEWS

~12:00pm~ EST MOVE ON.ORG SUES FOX NEWS: The liberal advocacy group MoveOn.org which is funded in part by George Soros and Teresa Heinz Kerry, has filed a petition with the Federal Trade Commission asserting that Fox News is "deliberately and consistently" twisting facts. They claims Fox's trademark use of the terms "Fair and Balanced" amounts to false advertising.

The terms of the complaint are consumer fraud, and it calls for the Commission to order the News Channel to stop usage of that slogan.

Fox News Channel is consistently the highest rated cable news network - even though they appear on fewer cable systems than their competitors.

The Washington Times quoted a Fox News spokesperson, "While this is clearly a transparent publicity stunt, we (FNC) recognize all forms of free speech and wish them well."

Seeing the level to which partisan liberals are willing to stoop - and the "kiss the other cheek" response by FNC just made my stock in FOX go up!

So if FOX wins this lawsuit and is legally determined to be "Fair and Balanced," will the Dims finally shut their holes about FOX being biased?

Answering my own question:
No

Simply ask MoveOn what "The Most Trusted Name In News" is covering today.

So which is it? Did MorOn.org "sue" Fox news or did they just log a complaint with the FTC? This story does not back up the headline

The words "Bring it ON" come to mind, seriesly. LOL

Who are they trying to kid?

Does this mean I can sue CNN. Carville and Begala are "ripe" for a major slap.

"deliberately and consistently" twisting facts?

Moveon.org: Deliberately and consistently towing the 'Rat party line, devoid of facts. These people are anti-American, anti-freedom and Orwellian.

They will be crushed in any sane court of law. Probably want a Clinton appointee to hear their delusions.

Blessings, Bobo

Isn't this kinda like the Pizza Hut vs. Papa John's suit over "better ingredients, better pizza" slogan? What was the outcome of that suit?

The FTC should squash this IMMEDIATELY.

A jury sided with Pizza Hut...at first. Papa John's was ordered to drop the slogan and pay Pizza Hut $467,619 in damages. But the verdict was later overturned and Papa John's is back to using the now-famous slogan.

This was tossed within hours of the complaint being filed. The FTC told MoveOn.org and Common Cause to go pound sand.

Obviously, a pub stunt.

However, if available, Fox should ask for sanctions after this is thrown out...totally spurious claim.

Then I'm going to sue CNN for claiming they're the "most trusted name in news" when FOX has TWICE the market share.

The Washington Times quoted a Fox News spokesperson, "While this is clearly a transparent publicity stunt, we (FNC) recognize all forms of free speech and wish them well."

Filing frivolous complaints with federal regulatory agencies has nothing to do with "free speech."

Guess the kerrymongers feel a diversion is important right now for Fox News; even to having report the irrelevant details of this political maneuver.

One less minute of FNC exposing the sordid truth of Liberals on national tv is probably worth it to them.

Isn't it about time that a taxpayer's organization brought suit against MoveOn.org for abusing its tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status in order to act as an international slush fund and advertising agency for the Democrat Party? Just thought I'd ask.

I had not heard that, although I suspected that would happen. Has MO and CC started screaming about the FTC being in Fox's back pocket, or Bush secretly telling the FTC to shut MO and CC down?

They will.

It was published in today's Raleigh News & Observer, which means it was dated yesterday at AP.

There goes those lovable first amendment free speech liberals in action again.

In the twisted world of a liberal, anytime you hear the word peace or free, what they really mean is surrender and enslavement.

The FTC should squash this IMMEDIATELY.

They did.

There's a crawl at the bottom of the FOXNEWS that says the FTC said today that it can't rule on this without having to rule on the content of the news itself.

"And, the content of the news is protected by the First Amendment and the judgement of American citizens."

I can't tell you all how tired I am of MoveOn at this point. They are so unbelievably extreme, it blows me away that anyone is taking this publicity stunt, and baiting of free media seriously. It's like beckoning to a crying baby every time it cries!

If anyone else watched Fox & Friends this morning, you saw the Fox reply. It was non-stop unfair and unbalanced. My favorite was when Steve Doocy asked David Bossie to talk about when Kerry lied in 1971. On second thought, that was a fair question.

LOL!! No kidding. What I think is even funnier, is that Drudge just posted the cable news ratings and Fox News had the top five...ALL OF THEM!! So it looks like MoveOn is just Moving-on more viewers to Fox News!!! Nice work!
