Sorry, but I haven't followed N.C. politics closely since that empty suit John Edwards knocked off Lauch Faircloth back in '98.
Another less than savory character that we can thank Bill Clinton and his shrewish wife for.
Same Vinroot.. in a run off, it would be likely that he would not win...we shall see which of the next two actually end up on top.
Heck, Abraham Lincoln was slow out of the gate.
But it seems like an exercise in masochism to keep renominating someone who you are certain will lose the general election.

GO ROBINSON GO!
What I meant to write was "sadism."
Though in this case, it just might be that the voters within the North Carolina Republican Party are intentionally inflicting pain on the rest of the state.
I would have nominated Jesse Helms for the governorship before turning it over to Vinroot once again.
Why isn't he leading? What's wrong with people?
Then again, Jerry Springer has his own musical, so he might top Bey-despite his numerous theatrical credits-in terms of sheer star power.
Be thankful that no one is stupid enough to put Springer into office.
Not even his congenitally retarded fan base.
Low turnout - so the detremined determine.
err, typ, s/h/b "determined determine".
Ballantine leading above 40%. Hard of hearing but that's what I think 680 just said.

Foxx is dropping.. Vernon is coming up..
The Sec of State Web site doesn't say the % that is in, but there were about 424,000 votes in the 2002 GOP Senate race state wide, and so far the total in the Gov Race is about 84,000 so you might guess we're at something like 23% in.
Thanks Amish.

Still a tight three way in the Gov race--
Robinson closes in, less than 300 votes less than leader
I think its going to be Vernon and Broyhill.
Is that a better matchup than Foxx? Is it just me or does Virginia Foxx sound like a name for a porno actress?
LOL!

WOW! Thanks! Good news for Vernon too!
Has Winston-Salem reported?
I can't tell from the website I'm monitoring. I'm not in NC so I don't get any local news.
I don't know, either. I'm in Illinois
If Winston-Salem hasn't, Vernon Robinson will likely have a big push since that's his home base.
