"Nobody thought Iraq had working nuclear warheads."

Nobody thought North Korea had them, either.

That being said, I don't buy it either. Oh, to be wrong.

If they had them- they wouldn't keep them all in one spot. This may be a fantasy rewrite of what Ritter once said- that Iraq had three protoypes but lacked sufficient enriched material to do anything with them.

And if sanctions won't be lifted on Iraq until it is certified "clean" by the IAEA- then anyone coming up with a story like this true or not may have ulterior motives. They may want to derail the process and keep sanctions imposed- just a passive way of saboutaging the new country's economic development so the new gov can be undermined.
