The latest census data show there are 114 single men for every 100 single women in Alaska, compared to 86 single men for every 100 single women nationally (and 80 to 100 in New York State.) Sure...sounds to me more like a lot of single men in the Lower 48 just blew off the census takers.

Somebody can't do basic arithmetic.
2:1 would be 200 men , 100 women but later in the article
it says 114 men to 100 women.
The ration is 1.14:1.
They are hardly starving for female companionship.
