"Pulling U.S. troops out of nations where they don't belong would make America much safer than appointing a thousand new intelligence czars." And is there any country, according to the libertarians, besides America in which our country belongs?

I feel the same way about Republicans Libertarians should be putting their scarce resources behind Congressional runs. Instead these nitwits try these hail-mary bids for the Presidency every four years and barely get .0001% of the vote. Libertarians would be much more effective in Congress where they can check Bush on federal spending.

"Only a childish, dope-addled mind could produce such a policy."
Yeah, the REAL solution is the creation of more gov't. [/sarcasm

It's getting harder and harder to be a Libertarian these days.I dropped it on 911. It's sad, because national defense is one of the few legitimate functions of government.

Most Effective Way to Prevent Terrorism is missing from 9-11 Report, Libertarians Say Open the borders and legalize dope. Then they could just come take over without needing another 911.

Libertarians would be much more effective in Congress where they can check Bush on federal spending. Ron Paul is in Congress. He votes no to everything except the bills he sponsors providing tax breaks to the members of the nations largest unions.

LOL!!!! Unfortunately for Mr. Badnarik, the "American Meddling" that really pisses off the bad guys is stuff like free trade and free speech (especially in the form of popular entertainment). American culture, not American government, is what the salamikazes are fighting.
IOW, they hate precisely the things the Mr. Libertarian Candidate purports to be for.
This points out the underlying problem with libertarianism in general: it doesn't work unless everybody else agrees to play by your rules.

Ron Paul is a Republican now, and most Republicans support tax breaks for unions, among other unconstitutional things.

I am not certain, but somewhere in Libertarian literature it must be written that one is permitted to defend oneself against an imminent threat.

Most effective way to prevent terrorism is missing from 911 report You mean, deporting all Muslims from the US?
And while we're at it, bombing the head-cutters into non-existence.

"Quit meddling in foreign nations." AKA: Bend over and take it.
Losertarians lost my interest when they could not rouse themselves to defend America post 9/11.
Mental masturbation is no replacement for responsibility and action.
